#8 KIEFER (9-2) AT #1 WASHINGTON (10-1)

Top-ranked Washington continues it's pursuit of a fourth consecutive state championship with another quarterfinal clash with Kiefer. This is the second straight year that these two met in the quarters and Washington is hoping it's similar to last year's meeting, where they won 48-14. The Warriors have looked like they've been in championship form. On the other side you have a Kiefer team that is playing some of their best football at the right time. The Trojans started the season 2-2 with the only losses coming to top five teams in 2A-1. They've played lights out, specifically on offense over the last two months. If they can carry that momentum into this week, they could pull off the upset.

#4 MARLOW (9-1) AT #5 KINGSTON (10-1)

The only 2A-1 match-up featuring top five teams is here with #4 Marlow going on the road to face #5 Kingston. The Outlaws have been so close to being that top team in Class 2A or now 2A-1 over the last several seasons. A win on Friday night puts them one step closer to a possible return to Edmond. The last time they made it there, they won the state title. For Kingston, the Redskins are looking to climb that mountain this season. They face the Outlaws in the quarterfinals for the second straight year. Last year, their season came to an end at the hands of Marlow. They've been playing excellent football all season, having won nine straight following a week one loss to Fairview.

#6 OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (10-1) AT #3 METRO CHRISTIAN (11-0) (MARQUEE MATCH-UP)

In our opinion the best game in Class 2A-1 takes place here as #3 Metro Christian will host #6 Oklahoma Christian School. The Patriots come into this week with a perfect 11-0 record. The Saints are 10-1 with their only loss coming to #2 Jones. Both teams feature very explosive offenses and this has all the makings of an instant classic.

For Oklahoma Christian School, the Saints are looking for their first semifinal appearance since 2020, coincidentally they faced Metro Christian that year in the semifinals. The Saints have been outstanding this season. Senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1831822' first='Creighton' last='Allen'] has enjoyed a breakout season and he hasn't been alone. This team has been lights out on the offensive side of the ball. But their defense has been fun to watch as well. This unit has put together five different shutout wins throughout the season and they've given up double digit points on just two occasions. This feels like one of the better OCS squads in recent memory and it wouldn't be surprising to see them come to Tulsa and pull off the win.

Now Metro Christian has simply been perfect this season. The Patriots came into this season as one of the top teams in Class 2A-1 and nothing has changed between August and right now. They have dominated, week in and week out. The closest game came in week ten against an undefeated Tahlequah Sequoyah squad and they won by nine. The 1-2 punch of quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1292050' first='Kincayde' last='Eng'] and running back [player_tooltip player_id='1705452' first='Cooper' last='Mitchell'] makes Metro Christian a very balanced offense that opponents have to find a way to slow down. Simply put, everyone has failed this season. The Patriots look like they have a team that could contend for a state championship this season but they have to take care of OCS first.

#7 TAHLEQUAH SEQUOYAH (10-1) AT #2 JONES (11-0)

There is no doubt that #7 Tahlequah Sequoyah is the surprise team in Class 2A-1 this season. The Indians are once again a serious contender, just a few years removed from forfeiting the season during the 2020 covid year. Tahlequah Sequoyah's only loss came in a week ten showdown with Metro Christian. But they face another very tall challenge this week with Jones. The Longhorns have looked like arguably the best team in Class 2A-1 this season. While defending champion Washington might be the favorite and rightfully so, we could make a strong argument that Jones is actually the team to beat in this class. The Longhorns have been perfect all season and show no signs of slowing down.
