Birmingham Bullies- Talented Trench Players Out of the 205

Welcome to Birmingham Bullies! We're watching some of the biggest, most talented trench players in the 205!   If you haven't heard of these prospects, make sure you get to know them! They have some seriously impressive tape- you'll come away impressed.    [player_tooltip player_id='1225913' first='Karlos' last='May'] has become a dominant defensive lineman for Ramsay these last two seasons and was a consistent force upfront this fall.   “May is a relentless pass rusher with tons of potential- he has great size and speed he uses to completely overwhelm opposing OL, fighting off double teams (sometimes even triple) to get to the QB and make plays. It's impressive watching May rush the passer- more often than not, Ramsay only rushes 3 and still can produce tons of pressure/sacks in the backfield with how dominant May is upfront.   May is also a terrific run defender. He completely closes up rushing lanes by himself, generating great penetration on the LOS and taking down the ball carrier for little to no gain every time offenses run the ball his way.“   I was extremely impressed with May this season. He's taken some huge steps and has seen his recruitment open up as a result. If you haven't watched any of his tape before, make sure you check him out below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1530344' first='JiQuan' last='Rogers'] is another talented member of Ramsay's defensive front and had another big year for his team's defense.   “Rogers is quick off the edge and plays with a ton of speed and power- he flies by OTs on pass-rushing downs by speed-rushing and powering through the line of scrimmage to get to the quarterback.   Rogers is an every-down defender who can impact the run as well. He has excellent pursuit skills and quickness he uses to cover ground and wrap up the ball carrier for little to no gain, no matter where he initially lines up. Rogers has an impressive motor as well- he plays at a high speed and doesn't ease up at all, creating huge stops in pursuit even after being blocked multiple times.”   Rogers has made a huge impact both as a pass rusher and as a run defender. I'm excited to see how he performs going into next season. He's quickly developed into a dominant piece on their defensive front.      [player_tooltip player_id='1715107' first='Elijah' last='Foreman'] is a talented OL/DL recruit out of Woodlawn who had an impressive season on both sides of the ball.   “Foreman is a dominant OT who helps open up so much of Woodlawn's rushing and passing attacks. At 6'3 285, Foreman has great size, quickness, and strength he uses to dish out massive blocks at the line of scrimmage and beyond. I love seeing how Foreman plays through the whistle. He'll drive defenders back several yards off the LOS and into the dirt- his effort in the trenches is unmatched.   I'm seriously impressed with Foreman's skills in pass protection. He's quick on his feet, has active hands, and consistently pancakes defenders to provide plenty of time for his quarterback to work with in the pocket. With his versatile skill set, the sky's the limit.   Foreman is equally impressive on defense. He can rush the passer and defend the run at a high level, using his size, speed, and strength to beat offensive linemen and meet the ball carrier for big stops behind or at the line of scrimmage."   I've been a big fan of Foreman, especially after this season. He's an incredibly versatile lineman who plays and makes an impact on a ton of snaps. If you haven't watched him before, make sure you check out some of his film below:      [player_tooltip player_id='1608443' first='Kameron' last='Scarver'] is a dominant OL from Parker who put together an impressive junior season this fall.   “Scarver is a mauler in the run game. At 6'5 260, he has great size, speed, and physicality he uses to dominate any defender in front of him. I'm really impressed with how he opens things up at the line of scrimmage and beyond- Scarver has the mobility and power to work from level to level and create huge plays for his teammates wherever they are on the field.   I'm just as impressed with his skills in pass protection. He's quick on his feet, can counter rush moves, and has a great blend of strength and quickness he uses to match up with all types of different pass rushers.“   Scarver has continued to develop in some huge ways. He consistently matches up well in the trenches regardless of who he's up against. Look out for him next season, he has a huge senior year ahead of him:      [player_tooltip player_id='828367' first='Robert' last='Taylor III'] had another dominant season for Parker's defense this fall, providing a ton of splash plays behind or at the line of scrimmage.   "Taylor is a dominant force off the edge; he has a terrific first step, great speed and strength, and excels at pursuing the ball carrier/quarterback. No matter what opposing offenses are attempting to run, Taylor finds ways to make their lives a lot more difficult.   He consistently finds ways into the backfield every snap, whether it be against the run or pass. The athleticism he possesses and plays with makes it incredibly difficult for offensive linemen to contain him."   Taylor III has continued to dominate every offensive line he's faced.
