had another dominant season for Parker’s defense this fall, providing a ton of splash plays behind or at the line of scrimmage.
“Taylor is a dominant force off the edge; he has a terrific first step, great speed and strength, and excels at pursuing the ball carrier/quarterback. No matter what opposing offenses are attempting to run, Taylor finds ways to make their lives a lot more difficult.
He consistently finds ways into the backfield every snap, whether it be against the run or pass. The athleticism he possesses and plays with makes it incredibly difficult for offensive linemen to contain him.“
Taylor III has continued to dominate every offensive line he’s faced. He’s going to be a big problem in the 6A next season. Make sure you check out some of his films below. He’s a talented prospect who deserves more eyes.

So far this season, Taylor has racked up 4 sacks, 4 TFLs, and 16 total tackles.
Make sure you check out some of Taylor’s film; he’s been off to a dominant start this year. I won’t be surprised if he stays as one of our top sack leaders this season.

Robert Taylor is a well-known name in Alabama and is already ranked as one of our top 15 players in the 2027 class. However, this is my first time taking an advanced look at him. Taylor is listed most recently at 6’2 235. Might not check ideal height and length boxes, but absolutely compensates for it in other areas of his game. He is super twitched up and sudden, allowing him to work both shoulders of blockers. He plays with a lot of shimmy in his shoulders, keeping his chest clean as he shoots his shoulders and leaks into the backfield. Has the combination of bend and speed required to turn the corner and chase the QB. He does a good job of setting up outside rush moves and working an arm-over to win. He offers some run-and-chase in space as well.

is one of the top up-and-coming defensive linemen in the state- as a sophomore, he’s been unstoppable in the 6A and is only going to keep getting better. Taylor is a dominant force off the edge- he has a terrific first step, has great speed and strength, and does an excellent at pursuing after the ball carrier/quarterback. No matter what opposing offenses are attempting to run, Taylor finds ways to make their lives a lot more difficult. He consistently finds ways into the backfield every snap, whether it be against the run of pass- the athleticism he possesses and plays with makes it incredibly difficult for offensive linemen to contain him. Taylor continued his early success with Parker this fall in a massive sophomore season- he ended the year with 56 total tackles (41 solo, 16.5 for loss), 18 sacks, and one fumble recovery. Be sure to keep track of Taylor next season, he’s been unbelievable as an underclassman and is set up for a huge junior season this fall!

is a dominant defensive lineman out of Parker that has steadily become one of the top pass rushers in the state’s 2027 class with how well he’s played in back-to-back seasons. With how well he’s played the last two seasons, Taylor has racked up some serious collegiate interest- listing offers from Tulane, Appalachian State, Marshall, and plenty of others. is a dominant defensive lineman that has played extremely well over his first two years as a starter- so far in his sophomore season, Taylor has strung together a couple of dominant performances. One of those performances was last week against Hoover, Taylor was in the backfield nearly every snap and was a large reason why his team was able to get the 14-10 win. Taylor is a dominant force off the edge- he has a terrific first step, some great speed and strength, and a motor he uses to make plays throughout all four quarters of a game. No matter what opposing offenses run, Taylor will find a way to make their lives a lot harder with how well he’s able to beat opposing linemen and make plays in the backfield. It was easy to see this on tape last week against Hoover, Taylor was all over the field and ended up finishing his night with 6 total tackles and 4 sacks. It’s really impressive how fast Taylor has become one of the top defensive line talents in the state- as a sophomore he’s put together some great film and is going to be a player to watch for the rest of this year!

is another 2027 defensive lineman that’s already become an impact player for his team- last year on an already loaded Parker defense, Taylor was able to immediately come in and produce in some big ways. Taylor is a dominant force off the edge- he has a terrific first step that allows him to quickly put pressure on offenses, some great speed and strength, and has the motor to make plays throughout all four quarters of a game. No matter what opposing offenses run, Taylor will find a way to make their lives a lot harder with how well he’s able to beat opposing linemen. It’s clear to see that Taylor was super productive in the trenches last fall, in his first year starting he totaled up 42 total tackles and 11 sacks on the season. Taylor has already been getting highly recruited after playing just one year, he’s picked up offers from Vanderbilt, Marshall, Tulane, and many other programs! Keep an eye on him not just next season, but the next several- he’s got loads of potential and we could see him quickly become a national recruit!

A.H. Parker High School in Birmingham is home to one of the top Defensive End/Edge prospects in this 2027 class at this point, and seemingly nobody is talking about him yet.

is billed at 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds of speed and power rushing off the edge. I’m talking that SEC type of speed, where he crashes off the edge and makes a tackle three yards in the backfield, while his legs whip around as he dives to make a tackle–that type of speed. His father, Robert Taylor Jr., is a defensive coach on the A.H. Parker staff and was inducted into the Grambling Hall of Fame last year for helping to lead the Tigers to College Football National Championships in 2000 and 2001. The 2027 Taylor is picking up right where do left off, having picked up a Georgia Tech offer in early May. The offer from the 404 won’t be his last, because he’s going to be very good.
