AL Game of the Week: Clay Chalkville (13-0) Muscle Shoals (12-0)

Welcome back! We're previewing a HUGE rivalry matchup between Clay Chalkville (13-0) and Muscle Shoals (12-0)   Both these teams have STACKED rosters, so we're discussing who we think everyone should look out for this week.   As always, check out these prospects' film below! You won't want to miss out on this group.   Let's dive in:   <h1 class="wp-block-heading">OFFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CLAY CHALKVILLE</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1452292' first='Aaron' last='Frye'], an Alabama State commit, is a talented QB who's had a terrific senior season for Clay-Chalkville this year.   “Frye is a talented passer who can make some seriously impressive throws all over the field. Frye has some great mechanics – he has great footwork, a natural throwing motion, and excellent timing with his wide receivers.   In addition to his arm talent, Frye can make huge plays with his legs. He has great mobility and can easily bail out of the pocket and find rushing lanes to move the chains.“   Frye has done it all this season, both through the air and with his legs. I've been a huge fan of his this year. Be sure to check out some of his film below.      Corey Barber is an electric WR who's been having an unstoppable year outside for Clay-Chalkville.   “Barber is highly athletic and plays with a ton of speed and quickness out wide. He flies downfield, gains tons of separation, and constantly finds ways to get open everywhere on the field. Barber is a physical matchup nightmare for DBs- he makes impressive grabs using his size, catch radius, and body control– it's really impressive seeing how he positions himself to haul in passes.   After the catch- good luck stopping Barber, he is a problem and can shake off tackles and create huge plays downfield off of shorter passes.“   Barber is explosive in every sense of the word. He'll be a tough player for Muscle Shoals to contain. Keep your eyes on him this week.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">MUSCLE SHOALS</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1651353' first='Kade' last='Clemmons'] has had an impressive senior season for Muscle Shoals, helping lead them to an undefeated season.   “Clemmons<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/kade-clemmons/"></a> is a talented pocket passer who can rip the ball all over the field. He throws with a ton of velocity, has impressive touch underneath his passes downfield, and does a great job hitting his WRs in stride for big plays.   I'm really impressed with Clemmons' ability to make plays under pressure. He stands tall in the pocket and plays with a ton of confidence, consistently delivering passes through contact and evading pass rushers to make some tough throws on the move.“   Clemmons can make some seriously impressive throws all over the field. Clay Chalkville will have a task ahead of them this week trying to slow him down. Check out some of his film below:      Cameron Pritchard is an exciting junior WR from Muscle Shoals who's had a big season outside.   "Prithchard is a versatile player who thrives off his speed, hands, and ball skills. He's great at finding separation, can quickly get open downfield, and is excellent at using his hands to attack and bring in the ball through coverage and contact.   Pritchard has some great skills after the catch. He's quick, elusive, and can easily change his direction in the open field, successfully evading defenders and turning upfield for huge plays.   Pritchard has had a big year out wide for Muscle Shoals. It'll be exciting seeing him match up with Chalkville's secondary- he's facing some serious competition this week. Make sure you check out some of his clips below:     <h1 class="wp-block-heading">DEFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">CLAY CHALKVILLE</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1664750' first='Keith' last='Richmond'] is a talented defender on Clay-Chalkville's defensive front who's been having a productive junior year.   Richmond is a versatile linebacker who can make impact plays on and off ball in a variety of different ways. Richmond is a force at EDGE. He's a dominant run defender with an unstoppable motor and impressive strength he uses to fight off blockers and get to the RB for huge stops.   Richmond is just as disruptive off the line of scrimmage. He has the speed and instincts to quickly locate the ball and cover ground to come up with huge stops all over the field.   I've been really impressed with Richmond's skill as a pass rusher. He's been able to get after the quarterback all year long. We all will have to watch for him this week.      [player_tooltip player_id='1604812' first='Deon' last='Callins'] is a talented DB who's provided great coverage in Clay-Chalkville's secondary all year long.   "Callins is a dominant outside corner who consistently provided great coverage and run defense all of last year. Callins is incredibly reliable out in coverage- he's patient, isn't easily beat downfield, and has great hands he uses to break up passes and haul in INTs all over the field.   Callins also plays with a ton of effort and pursuit- he frequently makes sideline-to-sideline plays and will work his way across the field to come up with some hustle plays."   Clay-Chalkville has had a huge year defensively, and Callins is a large reason why. He'll be a key matchup on Muscle Shoals' pass catchers all game.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">MUSCLE SHOALS</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1352636' first='Kamhariyan' last='Johnson'] is a dominant and consistent defender who's produced for Muscle Shoals every year.   “Johnson is a destructive force in the trenches who causes chaos in the backfield nearly every snap. Johnson does a great job using his size and athleticism to set the edge- he consistently beats OTs to meet the ball carrier at or behind the line of scrimmage, resulting in a ton of run stops up front.   Johnson is just as dominant as a pass rusher- he's quick off the snap, has a deep bag of rush moves, and can fly by OTs to generate pressure and rack up sacks on opposing quarterbacks.“   It'll be really tough for Clay-Chalkville to slow down Johnson. He's an every-down threat on the line of scrimmage and will have to be accounted for. Stay tuned later this week.      [player_tooltip player_id='1603657' first='Keivay' last='Foster'] is a rangy safety who's provided a ton of great play in Muscle Shoals' secondary this year.   "At 6'4 180, Foster has great size and is so reliable over the top for his defense at FS- he doesn't allow for any big gains downfield, has great ball skills, and does a great job tracking and baiting quarterbacks into bad decisions.   Foster plays with a ton of speed and instincts to quickly cover ground from sideline to sideline and come away with interceptions, tackles, and other game-changing plays. Foster is a ball hawk- consistently coming away with some huge interceptions and returns for his team, it's really impressive to watch."   Foster can play the run and pass equally well, making him a constant threat to opposing offenses. Be sure to look out for him this week; he'll be a player to watch.
