[player_tooltip player_id='1040324' first='Owen' last='Herrick']s is ranked as the 24th-ranked prospect and the top quarterback in the 2028 class for a reason. He is a talented quarterback that I saw live throw the ball at our Prep Redzone Showcase last spring. I came away impressed with his mechanics and footwork as a quarterback. Then he dominated this season for Pittsburgh Central Catholic as they won the 6A WPIAL Title, and they continue to play for a PIAA State Title. Herrick is a talented quarterback and deserves the top-ranked spot as he continues to play at a high level for PCC.

The left-hander knows how to uncork a big boy throw from the pocket. He also shows a good ability to throw accurate passes on deep balls.
[player_tooltip player_id='1260044' first='Devontae' last='Smith'] is a great combination of running and passing ability as a quarterback. As a runner, he has good size (6'1") and athleticism, as he is hard to tackle. He is good when the play breaks down, as he can make defenders miss. Then, as a passer, he is a natural thrower of the football. He throws with good anticipation. He is excellent at sitting in the pocket and throwing a good ball. His ability to read a defense and know where he wants to throw the ball is good. Smith has a chance to be a stock riser and move up this list, and I expect him to play even better next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='914700' first='Jaivin' last='Peel'] has had an interesting High School Career. He played his 1st two years at Western Beaver. He then transferred to Kiski School this season. He then re-classified to the 2028 class. Kiski School is a prep school, so they do not play in the PIAA or the WPIAL. He is a playmaker with the ball in his hands. His ability to make plays with his feet and his arm is impressive. When the play breaks down, he can make a play by either throwing the ball downfield or by running for big plays. In the pocket, he has good mechanics and footwork. He had a strong season and should continue to play well.

He seems to rise to the occasion and make plays when his team needs him most. Several times in his film, I saw him get pressured and scramble around, finding plays downfield. He usually keeps his eyes downfield, looking for open receivers. Then, in the pocket, he has a huge arm. His mechanics are solid, but could use improvement. I love his film and how he competes. Adair is a good player who should improve going forward.
