The leader in tackles in Class 3A by a mile with 66, [player_tooltip player_id='1620016' first='Jace' last='Bellamy'] has been a menace on the defensive side of the ball for Winterset to start the 2025 season. In addition to the ridiculous tackle numbers, he's posted five pass-breakups (PBUs), three interceptions and has forced a fumble.

On the offensive side of things, Bellamy isn't the workhorse running back for Winterset -- that distinction goes to fellow senior, Ben Porter -- but Bellamy, in a secondary role, is averaging 8.9 yards per carry, taking 18 for 160 yards and four scores. Similarly impactful through the air, Bellamy has caught seven passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns, leading his team in yards per catch at 21.

Though Bellamy's strong suit is clearly defense as a safety for the Huskies, he's an uber-important part of the Winterset offense, especially when they need a big play.

The first of two 8-Man prospects on this list, [player_tooltip player_id='1034037' first='Hudson' last='Clark'] has been all over the field for Gladbrook-Reinbeck in 2025. Another two-way wonder whose gaudy numbers first pop out on the defensive side of the ball, Clark has already registered five interceptions -- including three pick-sixes, three PBUs and two forced fumbles to go along with his 21 tackles.

A turnover machine, Clark is also the Rebels' leading receiver on offense, having caught 23 passes for 397 yards and seven scores. Don't forget about the run game, either! Scoring on 33% of his carries, Clark has taken six for 78 yards and two scores.

We said two-way wonders, right? Can't skip out on special teams, though. Clark has also returned eight punts for 135 yards and two kicks for 72 yards and a touchdown.

Back again with an 8-Man standout, [player_tooltip player_id='1242821' first='Jamison' last='Ewing'] of Southeast Warren is the first quarterback on our list. Completing 31-of-43 passes for 539 yards and seven touchdowns to no interceptions, Ewing is an apt thrower of the football. On the ground, he's taken 115 carries for 999 yards and 17 scores, making him a threat to beat opposing defenses in a variety of ways on every single play.

His impact doesn't stop there, though. Similar to Clark, he's registered just 20 tackles, but, he's been a terror on the backend of the defense for opposing quarterbacks. With five interceptions to his name and two pick-sixes with a total of 100 return yards on those interceptions, Ewing is in a five-way tie for second place in total picks so far this season in 8-Man.

A rare two-way standout at the 5A level, it's tough to imagine where Dubuque Hempstead would be without running back and linebacker hybrid, [player_tooltip player_id='1241414' first='Jaden' last='Montgomery']. The team leader in carries, rushing yards, total touchdowns, tackles, sacks and TFLs, Montgomery is the straw that stirs the drink for the Mustangs on both sides of the ball.

On offense, the senior has taken 83 carries for 638 yards (7.7 yards per carry) and nine touchdowns to go with eight catches for 119 yards and two scores through the air. On defense, his 35 tackles, 6.5 TFLs and two sacks carry the majority of the production load.

Part struggling Hempstead team, Montgomery still brings it each and every night for the Mustangs.

Breaking out on the offensive side of the ball this season as a defensive prospect in the class of 2027, [player_tooltip player_id='1204540' first='Jaxson' last='McIntire'] is leading the way for 4-1 Clear Lake, one of the top teams in all of 3A.

Under center for the Lions, McIntire has been super efficient, completing 69-of-87 passes (79.3%) for 921 yards and ten touchdowns. On the ground, his 58 carries for 242 yards and five scores have him sitting tied for fifth for most total touchdowns scored this season in 3A.

With an offer from Iowa State, interest from Iowa, Wisconsin and Nebraska, McIntire's future at the college level is at DB. Though he can't solely focus on playing in the secondary for Clear Lake, he's been impactful for the Lions, registering six PBUs and two interceptions to go with ten tackles.
