Two-Way 2028s, 2029s Catching my Attention Pre-Ranking Update

For the brief evals sake in this piece, I decided to take a peek into Davis's Williamsport and Dallas tapes. Carries the body of a DB, displays the toughness and instincts of a backer. Davis serves a hybrid S/LB role for Wyoming Valley West, primarily being stationed inside the box within single-high safety sets. Phenomenal angle-taker, Davis is utilized as a blitzing gap-shooter or as an edge-setting disciplined "extra" backer who can operate strong or weak side. A ton of TFLs on tape, flashes upfield in a hurry. Great R&R skills, again, that similar to a linebacker's. Plays beyond what his measurables suggest. Would love to see him tote the rock in the future, I'm sure he's capable. More tape and more activity on X will bolster his stock on our site. More production will have him off our watch list in due time. </li> </ul>     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>6'0, 245 pounds. OL/DL underclassman. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>reportedly been making strides behind the scenes. While there's currently no verified film on Hudl, no social media activity, and little public footprint to evaluate, the feedback from those close to the program suggests he's trending in the right direction and developing steadily. As he continues to progress and releases game tape for review, he'll have every opportunity to move beyond our watch list and earn a rightful spot in the rankings.</li> </ul>     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>6'1, 160 pounds. Skill player. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>I'm interested in if Staten starting to come along and showing signs of real growth. Until there's tape, it's hard to fully back it up, but if the progress being talked about starts to show on film, he'll move off our watch list and into the rankings conversation quickly. There's not much out there yet on <strong>[Player Name]</strong> — no Hudl film, no X activity, and little digital footprint to draw from.</li> </ul>     <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>5'10, 165 pounds. 3.0 GPA. Has some impressive self-reported weight room testing numbers on Hudl. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Posted a mid-season tape about two weeks prior to writing. Said tape will be the source of this brief and early evaluation. I applaud Robinson's efforts to get as much tape up on Hudl as possible, great for an underclassman. A back at Plum Borough who operates out of gun looks comfortably. Reads his gaps inside out really well. Scoring in different ways, either runs between the tackles or in the passing game catching swings out of the backfield. Proving to be a three-down back and a threat to score in both offensive facets isn't common among underclassmen. Third rep on tape gives you a real idea of Robinson's play-making ability, scoring after a 10-yard crosser was reeled in with four defenders in-line to potentially make a tackle. Robinson reads his blocks in the open field and outpaces everyone, his best rep on tape IMO. Production will make me feel comfortable ranking him well among 2028 peers. Would love to see how he performs in a camp setting against elite competition, I'd bet he'd hold up well. Fun football player to learn about, Robinson does have exemplary defensive reps stationed at DB as well. Unreal production and buzz on socials landed him on my radar. Is a baseball and basketball participant. Would love to know if he runs track, verifying his speed would do wonders for his stock. 4.0 GPA 5'10, 160 pounds (found on Hudl).</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>I applaud his promptness getting tape out on Hudl, not everyday you see this much tape for a freshman halfway through a season. I decided to cut on his lengthy 10-minute tape to provide the evaluation below. I'd hope he condenses his future highlight tapes, yet I can't fault Marshall for showing off this much quality reps.</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>First rep on tape immediately gives coaches watching an idea of the type of playmaker Western Beaver has at their disposal. Stationed at QB, an athlete behind center, Marshall evades half of the defense while escaping a pocket, proving too much to handle in open space. A 60+ yard QB scramble taken to the house, 60 of his 600+ rushing yards coming in this one clip. Unseasoned in several areas when dissecting him from a QB perspective, yet that's to be expected of any freshman QB, let alone one who presents/carries himself as a pure athlete. Can be trusted to take what's in front of him, can dump off to hot reads in the flat. Love his DB reps, Marshall gives you energy and attitude on the perimeter. A willingness to attack the flow/brunt of the offense, doesn't shy away from opportunities to set the edge or force things back inside. You can expect pretty much any and everything when turning on a Marshall tape, I'm officially a fan. Excited to see more, specifically a tape that shows off his best reps at DB. Would love to see him test, too.
