Semaj Robinson Semaj Robinson 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Plum | 2028 State PA is one of the best wide receivers in the 2028 class. He has had a great season playing at a high level. He is excellent in the open field. Once he catches passes in the open field, he shows elusive moves. He is hard to get to the ground. Then, on deep balls, he has great body control. He usually comes down with the ball when it is thrown in his direction. He is an outstanding wide receiver. He and Plum missed out in the playoffs this season. Robinson would have been fun to see play in the playoffs.

The tape that initially caught my attention was his Week 2 performance, where Robinson recorded more than 175 receiving yards and four touchdowns on just three catches. A Randy Moss like stat line with three receptions resulting in three receiving scores. Already ranked as a Division I caliber prospect, his early junior tape is proving our ranking true.

Last week, Robinson followed that performance by catching four passes for 80 yards and another touchdown against Fox Chapel High School. I clicked into his 30 second single game cut up and saw him aligning presnap in the outside slot in a trips look. He works well with his quarterback in impromptu situations and shows plenty of burst and explosion off the line. His release earns him early separation, but his Week 3 tape also shows how dangerous he can be once plays break down.

Robinson is a tough assignment on crossers. He is quick and creates too much separation off the line of scrimmage to comfortably handle in man coverage. Once Robinson opens up his stride across the field, defensive backs have to account for him, and any miscommunication can quickly result in a big play in his favor. There is potential elite playmaker status here.

Semaj is a route technician. I saw it multiple times on Saturday, but Sunday he absolutely came to play. He fires off with a sweet release, and is able to hit his top end speed quickly. At the top of his route, he changes direction quickly and puts the defender on his back side, allowing him to give his QB an easy target. His catch radius is huge, and when he goes up for it, he’s able to pluck it out of the air and come down with it. He was an extremely important piece to his teams deep run on Sunday.
