Power Scores X Factors: Creekside

Creekside is yet again one of the best teams in the state this fall. They are loaded with talented seniors, but their 2027 class is beyond impressive, too. They are built for sustained success. Here are a few of the X factors on this squad.    Benson is playing some of the best ball at the QB position this fall. He is a smaller, but athletic prospect with a quick release and the ability to touch each level of the field. I love the timing and precision he plays with. He puts good touch on the ball, can drive it into the intermediate areas, and gives his receivers an opportunity to run after the catch. I am definitely a fan of the gamesmanship Benson plays with.     Here is my write-up on Kelley from earlier this month:   "Kelley is another underrecruited senior in the midst of a prolific senior season for Creekside. He is a scat back at 5'9 170, relying on his speed and twitch to do his damage. He is a productive receiver in space as well. Kelley is hard to tackle in an alley, sinking his weight and using his quick feet to get tacklers off their platform. He has good enough speed to lift off and separate when given a lane to run. Kelley is an underrated senior with gadget playmaker potential."     Walker is a breakout prospect this fall who should be due for a busy offseason on the recruiting trail. He is a big, tall, leggy RB prospect with room left to bulk up. When he opens up his stride in space, his long steps help him lift off from the defense. He finishes runs hard, dropping his shoulder and driving his feet. Walker is a high upside back who projects out with bell-cow potential.     Henderson is the leading receiver and most prolific playmaker on the outside for Creekside. Henderson is a truly elite playmaker with the ball in his hands, utilizing his elite foot speed and snappiness as an athlete to create his own yards and redirect the play all over the field. As a route runner, he uses those same traits to stack moves and create hesitation and pause in DBs. Henderson is an extremely crafty player with some of the most fun WR film in the 2026 class.     Terrell is a productive, physical tackler who lines up as an EDGE for Creekside, but will project out long-term as an ILB at his size. Regardless, he is very strong and physical at the point of attack. He has no issue with striking and shedding against blockers. He locates the ball well amongst chaos and brings down ball carriers with ease. Terrell holds FBS offers. His experience lined up on the line of scrimmage will only help his development, as he has plenty of reps taking on blockers.     [player_tooltip player_id='1586580' first='Cassius' last='Burch'] is another shorter, stout EDGE prospect, but he has more traditional traits and skills to stick at that position regardless. He is physical at the point of attack, embracing violent pop against blockers. As a pass rusher, he has enough juice athletically to bend around the edge and cross the face of tackles. On top of that, he will throw swim moves and hand-fight with blockers to help win. He is fast enough to chase the football and mirror ball carriers. All around, Burch is a fun, productive player who should garner recruiting attention this offseason.     Jones is another contributor to a prolific Creekside pass rush. He is more of the prototype when it comes to size, length, and athleticism. Similar to his teammates, Jones has no problem trying to go through blockers. He has room to add a lot of weight and play strength, which will only help that part of his game. His speed is on display when he is clear of blockers and can close speed untouched to the football. Jones is a traits projection, but his upside is high. He is committed to Kennesaw State.     I saw Noel way back in March of 2024 and was impressed with him. While on the shorter side, Noel plays with compensators in the form of leverage and fight. He is quick off the line with a strong punch. He remains on his feet as he works against defenders, helping him displace defenders and making it harder to shed against him. Traditional center prospects aren't always easy to find, so expect Noel to generate some recruiting attention.
