Today, I will be talking about another select handful of prospects that demand more recognition for their play. I believe they each can contribute to a college program. The junior has 19 receptions for 395 yards and 7 touchdowns, 9 total tackles (5 solo, 4 assisted), 1 TFL, and 1 PD. Newman has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, change of direction, and jumping. He has very good release especially against press jam. Creates separation with his athletic ability and play strength. He has quick cuts into his route. Very good catching and good ball tracking. Newman is very good at contested catches. Uses his good adjustments paired with very good body control and strong hands to rip the ball out of the air. After the catch, he uses his shiftiness and elusiveness to get free from defenders. He has home run speed and uses his burners to reach the end zone. Good blocker as well. Newman is a quality wide receiver that deserves some extra looks.

Chavez is another player that originally landed on my radar due to our PRZ Stock Up Showcases. The FS/RB has 56 total tackles (30 solo, 24 assisted), 8 PD, 46 carries for 190 yards and 2 touchdowns, with 3 receptions for 25 yards. Chavez has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, speed, jumping, and good change of direction. He has a smooth and controlled back pedal with good read and reaction speed. Chavez has very good run support. He uses his good strength and very good tackling to make the play. Good angles when tackling. He's aggressive, grabbing and dragging the ball carrier down. He is also very physical, creating incompletions. Very good range. He will chase to the other side of the field to make the play. This hard-hitting safety should be on a bunch of college's radars for his performances.

Basham measures in at 6'1 170-pounds, playing two ways at WR and SS. He has 20 receptions for 535 yards and 6 touchdowns, 39 total tackles (22 solo, 17 assisted), 5 INT, 8 PD, and 1 FF. Basham has good athletic ability due to very good speed, change of direction, good jumping, and acceleration. As a receiver, he has a good release at the line of scrimmage. He uses his quick cuts to get open. Basham doesn't need a whole lot of separation to make big catches. He has very good body adjustment to the ball. Very good ball tracking too. As a defensive back, he had a 99 yd pick 6 showing his home run speed. Very good read and reaction time. Good at jamming the WR at the LOS. Smooth back pedal. Good man zone coverage. Good zone coverage. Very good closing quickness. Basham has very good tackling and good run support. He is a physical player on both sides of the ball. I'm very excited to see more from him. I believe he is a next level prospect on either side of the ball.

Measuring in at 6'1 175-pounds, Church has 102 carries for 852 yards and 13 touchdowns, 30 receptions for 561 yards and 9 touchdowns, 5/12 for 3 TDS, 1 INT, 48 total tackles (34 solo, 14 assisted), 1 TFL, 5 INT, 1 PD, 4 FF, and 2 FR. Church is a dawg on both sides of the ball. He has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, change of direction, acceleration, and good jumping. On offense, he uses his very good release to beat defenders at the line of scrimmage. Very good separation quickness to get open. Very good catching and ball tracking skills. Very good vision to weave through the defense on run plays. On the defensive side, he has very good zone coverage and is a ball hawk. Very good closing quickness and very good read and reaction speed. He diagnoses the play and trusts what he sees. Very good tackling in run support as well. Church deserves more love than he is currently getting from the next level.

Lawson has been a beast for Northfield. Through the first 5 weeks, the 6'3 220-pound linebacker had 43 total tackles, 17 solo, 6 sacks, 6 TFL, and 2 FF. He has very good athletic ability due to very good acceleration, lateral agility, change of direction, and good speed. As an edge rusher, he has very good strength. Very good hand speed and initial quickness to engage first with the OL. Good get off speed and very good block shedding. Mixes between bull rush and spin move. If he's doubled, he splits them with ease and gets to the QB. Very good bend around the edge. Very good tackler. He's aggressive and plays through the whistle. Lawson will be a name to know moving forward. Keep an eye out for him.

Today, I will be talking about another select handful of prospects that demand more recognition for their play. I believe they each can contribute to a college program. Let's get into my analysis.
