Murfreesboro, Tenn. – It was Senior Night at Ray Hughes Stadium on Friday night, and the No. 2 Oakland Patriots (8-0) hosted Stewarts Creek (4-4) in a cross-town matchup.

The Patriots demolished the Red Hawks behind a stifling defense, great special teams play and a good day from the OHS offense.

At the end of a highly lopsided game, the Pats walked off the field with a 49-0 victory, improving to 9-0 with a date against 7-2 Riverdale next week.

“We played as a team. We did what we were told and coached to do. It's all about practice and preparation, I thought we had a great week of preparation,” Oakland RB/DB [player_tooltip player_id='856867' first='Craig' last='Tutt'] said. “Leading into next week, we have a bigger game and we're ready to take that W home.”

It took Oakland no time to score. After the defense forced a three-and-out, Tutt took a punt back for a score to give his team the early 7-0 lead.

Roughly two minutes later, the OHS special teams scored again when they blocked a punt and [player_tooltip player_id='1215798' first='Marquis' last='Earl'] Jr brought it back for the touchdown.

Before the Patriots' offense even touched the field, they led 14-0. When they did get on, freshman quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='424644' first='Kam' last='Morton'] led them down the field and capped it off with a touchdown pass.

Shortly after that, Tutt took another punt back to the house for his second score of the night as the Pats led 28-0 in the first quarter.

Following a pair of second-quarter touchdowns, OHS led 42-0 going into the intermission.

Senior running back Matthew Moore added another when he muscled his way into the end zone midway through the third quarter, carrying multiple defenders.

After that, both offenses just traded punts as the Oakland Patriots went home with a 49-0 win.

Tutt was sensational again for his squad, recording close to 10 tackles while housing two punts. The senior is also Oakland's starting running back, but was not asked to do much with the team leading by so much early.

However, he was still effective when handed the ball. Tutt is outstanding at every position, but the Ole Miss commit is best at his safety spot.

He plays excellent coverage, has great instincts and is a smart football player. Tutt can also lay the boom and is a team-first guy who will do whatever it takes to win.

Other Notable Names

2029 QB [player_tooltip player_id='424644' first='Kam' last='Morton'] – Oakland

Oakland runs a two-quarterback system, with Morton being more of a pocket passer. The freshman was impressive on Friday, playing well above the average 2029 signal caller and looked very comfortable in the pocket.

Morton has nice footwork, can layer his passes well, good pocket awareness and the athleticism/speed to take off if needed.

He's one of the more talented in-state quarterbacks regardless of classification or age. The Patriots have their starter for the future, but he's already playing like a veteran.

2026 ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1281472' first='Joel' last='Wyatt'] – Oakland

Senior athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1281472' first='Joel' last='Wyatt'] had a solid day for Kevin Creasy's team. The Tennessee commit is similar to Tutt, where he can play multiple positions but looks best at safety. He helped roam the gridiron and lock down the Stewarts Creek passing game all night.

Wyatt has unbelievable size at 6-foot-4 and 192 pounds. He's extremely lengthy and flies around to play a great center field. The 2026 recruit is also a dependable wide receiver who made multiple big plays tonight to move the chains.

Ultimately, he's an athletic freak who can be used all over the place. He's made a significant impact for Oakland as he continues his quest for a state championship before he heads to Rocky Top.

2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='866735' first='Donte' last='Cameron'] – Oakland

[player_tooltip player_id='866735' first='Donte' last='Cameron'] is the other quarterback that the Patriots use, but he specializes in the run department. That's not to say he can't throw, because he can. But Cameron is a great athlete who they use as the dynamic dual threat.

He had a rushing score towards the end of the first half, but completed a couple of nice passes to move Oakland down the field. The junior possesses solid arm strength and accuracy, while also being electric on the ground, forcing teams to respect both aspects of his game.

2026 ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1603958' first='Justis' last='Haggard'] – Oakland

[player_tooltip player_id='1603958' first='Justis' last='Haggard'] wasn't utilized much tonight because there was no need to. But when he got his chance, the senior terrorized the Red Hawks' defense. He's a nice complementary piece to the explosiveness and speed that Tutt possesses.

Haggard has that, too, but he's a powerful running back who will ruin somebody's day by running through their face or breaking multiple tackles. He's a big-time threat offensively, but is equally as productive on defense, where he plays defensive back.

The athlete is one of the most underrated players in the state, offering excellent skills and versatility to this state championship frontrunner.
