North Coast Section Top Uncommitted Edge Rushers

Langer is one of the top two-way players in the north coast section that no one seems to know about and is a no-brainer college caliber athlete. He is a rare and elite athlete with his mixture of size and speed and moves extremely well for his size. In the Ferndale veer offense, he is a devastating ball carrier that chunks yardage with long strides and is explosive through all three levels and runs downhill and violent. Defensively, he is quick twitched and heavy handed when reseting the line and closes the pocket quickly around the corner while doing a nice job using his length and wingspan to keep blockers of his chest. Langer is a still raw and developing defender, but has the tools and length/frame to be a big impact at the next level and is going to be a late gem come signing day.     Riley is one of the top edge defenders in the state that is still available and just picked up an offer from the hometown Golden Bears earlier this morning. He has the ideal size/frame for the next level anywhere along the defensive front and is a very technically sound player. He recently de-committed from Princeton and is a key name to keep an eye on as we move through the season. He has heavy hands, a quick strike and violent disengage while able to control blockers at the POA and is stout against the run. When rushing the passer, he is a natural bender around the corner with quick hands, shoulder turn and counter moves back inside as well. Stout at the POA when holding the edge, he can quickly read blocks and take on pullers and is a complete defender with a vast toolbox. He is a high upside kid that is just scratching the surface of his ceiling and is going to be a very nice steal at the next level.       Littlejohn has long been one of the top athletes across the bay area on both sides of the ball and is a explosive and twitchy edge rusher that could very well find his home as a OLB/DPR guy at the next level. He is a natural bender around the corner, flashes quick hands when beating bigger tackles and has a variety of different moves in his toolbox. Offensively, he is also a impressive ball carrier with contact balance, runs behind his pads and has a rare combination of size and speed while very fluid with the ball in his hands and has lateral agility/short area quickness in the hole. The Acalanes star should wind up somewhere in the big Sky by the time it's all said and done and is another no-brainer FCS+ caliber prospect at that OLB/Edge position.     The Pittsburg product is coming off a breakout junior season for one of the top programs in the state and picked up right where he left off for his last ride at Pittsburg. He is a explosive and violent edge player that is technically sound with his hands and a big time playmaker both in the run game and when pass rushing off the corner. He has a good first step get off, quick inside hands to reset the LOS and quickly reads blocks and takes on pullers with violence and does a great job setting the edge and playing fast to the ball. He is a relentless pass rusher that can win with both speed and power at the POA and should fit nicely as a true edge/OLB at the next level and will be a steal at the 4-year or JUCO level for any program.     Emmons is one of the best edge players across the north coast section and is another elite athlete with initial twitch, heavy hands and is very active on a consistent basis. Emmons shows he can quickly knife into the backfield from the inside or the edge, has natural bend and shoulder turn around the corner and does a good job using a quick use of hands to get around tackles and has tremendous COD/lateral movement abilities when chasing backside. He flashes closing speed around the corner and is a high motor kid that has quick block recognition and plays violent against the run and has the frame to add another 25+ pounds through his college career. He provides good position versatility along the defensive front, and is going to be another late next level steal.
