Nearly through the entirety of the regular season, there are several prospects who have clearly outperformed their ranking. At this point in the season, I'm stepping on the gas with my off-site prospect spreadsheets. In my early efforts to complete these spreadsheets by December, here are my early standouts.

I've talked about LJ here way more than most. He was a major riser this past summer, and he's continuing to impress on tape. Long story short, I've watched two games of his on NFHS, and I'm as confident as ever that LJ has the talent to play at a G5 program. He does his best work outside of the tackles and plays similarly to, say, Christian McCaffrey.

A receiving RB who is powerful enough to run through arm tackles and athletic enough to weave his way through traffic in the open field. I know LJ is also extremely capable as a slot receiver. Still, I like him best as a receiving RB.

I've started my deep dive into the 2027 WR for an upcoming rankings update, and the prospect spreadsheets I send out to colleges.

Yesterday, I watched [player_tooltip player_id='1538594' first='Will' last='Fussman']'s highlights, as well as watched his full game against Lowell (on NFHS).

Will has outperformed what I thought his ceiling was this season. Will's #1 trait is his effort. Dude is all gas every single down. Every release is quick and explosive, every block is aggressive, and his routes are much more crisp than I remember. Plus, Will has been extremely efficient after the catch. He can stiff-arm, lower his shoulder, and straight-up run through arm tackles. Again, it's elite effort and play speed, which also means he's incredibly fit and well-conditioned. The only nitpicks I have about Will's game is that he doesn't have elite speed, and I'm not sold on his hands.

Doing all of the little things right. I was honestly a little surprised when I saw the CMU offer, but not anymore.

I expect Dallas to earn a good amount of college attention this coming offseason. After a knee injury about two years ago, I wasn't sure how Dallas would look once he was back on the field.

Doesn't look like he's skipped a beat. For one, Dallas is built well. He's spent a lot of time in the weight room and has the height + size to play at the next level. Second, Dallas plays fast, and I like his physicality.

When I watched him against Byron Center, I loved his efforts on defense. I thought he stopped the run well. Dallas has also proven himself at running back- his burst and top speed show up well.

I still don't know what position Dallas is best suited for at the next level. I could see him playing pretty much any position other than OL/DL/QB.

Tyler is another player who has outperformed what I thought was his ceiling for this season. Just watch the first 60 seconds of Tyler's tape.

He's been awesome in man coverage. The play at 0:26 showcases fluid hips and excellent change of direction. Not many DBs in Michigan can start crashing on the out, then change direction upfield so quickly. Several other examples of excellent change of direction, good ball skills, and sound tackling. One of the most lockdown man-to-man DBs this season, and I'd be shocked if Tyler didn't earn GLIAC offers, if not G5 offers.

Malcomb has been a gigantic asset for UofD this season.

He's also a very interesting evaluation. On one hand, Malcomb is a capable QB. Great velocity on his passes and a handful of very accurate throws. Low sample size, but intriguing as a dual-threat QB.

I think that Malcomb is most polished as a receiver. Good burst and top speed, and a major threat in the open field. He can catch a screen, find a lane, and take it to the house. Malcomb also does a nice job running through arm tackles and staying north-south. I'm not sure about his hands or his route running, but if those are even decent, I think Malcomb has a great chance to earn several offers this offseason.

Nearly through the entirety of the regular season, there are several prospects who have clearly outperformed their ranking. At this point in the season, I'm stepping on the gas with my off-site prospect spreadsheets. In my early efforts to complete these spreadsheets by December, here are my early standouts.
