Malcomb has been a gigantic asset for UofD this season.
He’s also a very interesting evaluation. On one hand, Malcomb is a capable QB. Great velocity on his passes and a handful of very accurate throws. Low sample size, but intriguing as a dual-threat QB.
I think that Malcomb is most polished as a receiver. Good burst and top speed, and a major threat in the open field. He can catch a screen, find a lane, and take it to the house. Malcomb also does a nice job running through arm tackles and staying north-south. I’m not sure about his hands or his route running, but if those are even decent, I think Malcomb has a great chance to earn several offers this offseason.

Malcomb was an extremely difficult QB to rank. At the end of the day, I decided to rank Malcomb #15. A ton of potential to grow, but still a good amount of question marks for the upcoming season.
The biggest one- will Malcomb be QB1? That is the simplest, most straightforward question that will impact his ranking.
More complex- how will Malcomb perform at QB (or any other position) this season? At QB, he has the potential to be the best true dual-threat in this class. He has the athleticism to not only be a dual-threat at the high school level, but also at the college level. If Malcomb can prove that he can consistently deliver accurate passes inside the pocket while also knowing when and how to scramble effectively, he’ll rank up. I’m looking forward to seeing what Malcomb does this coming season!

If Malcomb can take a step up this season, look out.
He’s a touch short for what most colleges want in a QB, but he’s a dang good athlete. Verified 4.68 40, 4.35 shuttle, and 115-inch broad jump is impressive from a QB.
I JUST wrote about Malcomb, but man, I’ve got to stress how great Malcomb could be. Whether it be at QB or another position, Malcomb is looking like a future college prospect. Malcomb may take a small step down in the overall rankings because of the sheer number of new additions, though he’ll likely take a small step up when it comes to the QB rankings.

- The best testing numbers I have for any Class of 2027 QB.
- Taking the offseason seriously. Has improved accuracy, mechanics.
- 5’10” was taller than I was expecting; can he grow even more?
- With a great season, Malcomb could easily raise his stock further
- Big “Boom” potential, considering testing numbers, other noticable improvements.
- 40-Yard Dash: 4.68
- Shuttle: 4.325
- Broad: 115
- Vertical: 28.5

Malcomb is worth a mention just based on his testing numbers.
A 4.682 40-yard dash, 115-inch broad jump, 4.325 shuttle, and a 28.5-inch vertical. I was able to catch a game of Malcomb’s last year, and he looked solid at Safety and QB. I could see Malcomb succeeding at either position, but considering his testing numbers, I love the upside at safety.
