The four smallest classes will be playing their second postseason games on Friday, when the three largest groups kick off their playoffs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Today, we wrap our X-Factor series with student-athletes in Class 3A:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1204540' first='Jaxson' last='McIntire'], JR, QB/S, Clear Lake - </strong>McIntire popped onto the radar when Iowa State offered a scholarship all the way back in November of 2023. This year, he's guided the Lions to a 9-0 regular season. He completed 75 percent of his throws for 1,408 yards and 16 touchdowns against five picks. He added 352 yards and nine scores on the ground, and accumulated 20.0 tackles (14 solo, 3.0 TFL), two interceptions and six pass breakups.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1532898' first='Maddox' last='Kelley'], JR, DB/WR, Solon - </strong>Kelley has shined on both sides of the ball since the beginning of his sophomore campaign. This fall, he's rushed for 301 yards (7.5 YPC) and 11 touchdowns, and hauled in 35 balls for 480 yards and 11 more scores. On defense, he's racked up 24.5 tackles (21 solo, 2.0 TFL), forced a fumble, recovered a fumble and intercepted a pair of passes, one of which he returned to the house. He's averaged 15.3 yards and scored a TD on 11 punt returns and averaged 18.4 yards on five kick returns. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1696598' first='Jack' last='Cantwell'], SR, RB/LB, West Delaware - </strong>Like others on this list, Cantwell has done a lot for his team in 2025. He's rushed for 902 yards (10.1 YPC) and 10 touchdowns, and caught 19 passes for 293 yards and pair of scores. The senior has produced 41.5 tackles (30 solo, 7.0 TFL), a sack and three interceptions, including a Pick-6.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1238514' first='Kasen' last='Thomas'], SR, RB/LB, Bishop Heelan - </strong>Thomas is committed to Iowa as a linebacker but inflicts damage on both sides of the ball in this level. He's rushed for 1,076 yards (6.6 YPC) and 19 touchdowns, and caught four passes for 40 yards. He has 32.0 tackles (21 solo, 12.0 TFL), 5.5 sacks and recovered three fumbles. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1241519' first='Cody' last='Sandbulte'], SR, ATH, Sioux Center - </strong>The senior has contributed significantly in multiple areas in 2025. He's rushed for 600 yards (6.1 YPC) and eight touchdowns, and caught 12 balls for 171 yards and a pair of scores. Defensively, he's piled up 48.5 tackles (28 solo, 11.0 TFL), two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, three interceptions (2 Pick-6s) and two pass breakups. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1695299' first='Brody' last='Schumacher'], SR, DB/WR, Wahlert Catholic - </strong>The Golden Eagle senior has chipped in all three phases. He rushed for 182 yards (6.1 YPC) and a touchdown, and caught 18 balls for 214 yards and score. He has 46.5 tackles (41 solo, 4.0 TFL) and four interceptions. He averaged 28.4 yards and scored a TD on seven kick returns and is averaging 15.2 yards on five punt returns, housing one of them. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1620016' first='Jace' last='Bellamy'], SR, RB/S, Winterset - </strong>Bellamy has stood out most on defense, where he's piled up 93.0 tackles (49 solo, 4.5 TFL), five interceptions (including a Pick-6), five pass breakups and a forced fumble. He's rushed for 303 yards (9.2 YPC) and six touchdowns, and caught eight balls for 157 yards and three scores.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1656855' first='Adam' last='Malik'], JR, RB, Carroll - </strong>The junior rushed for 1,339 yards (7.5 YPC) and 17 touchdowns, carrying a lot of the Tigers' offensive load. He also hauled in six passes for 91 yards. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1242256' first='Austin' last='Waldera'], SR, RB/LB, Nevada - </strong>Waldera rushed for 699 yards and six touchdowns, and also caught three passes for 25 yards. He posted 42.5 tackles (28 solo, 11.5 TFL), two sacks, a fumble recovery and a 38-yard Pick-6. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1840915' first='Christopher' last='Meyer'], SR, QB/DB, Independence - </strong>The senior has been super for the Mustangs in 2025. He's completed more than 60 percent of his passes for 1,482 yards and 13 touchdowns against four interceptions, and rushed for 1,305 yards (8.2 YPC) and 19 scores. He has 33.5 tackles (30 solo), an interception and three pass breakups. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
