<p>In a midseason matchup between Catholic League opponents, the Monsignor Farrell Lions, took on the Fordham Prep Rams, as the sun began to set in Staten Island. The coin toss was won by Fordham Prep, and the Lions received the ball. Coach RDP, and QB [player_tooltip player_id='1283757' first='Bryce' last='Moye'] wasted no time, with two consecutive first down passes to his brother Braxton. Three plays, and 30 seconds into the game, Moye found [player_tooltip player_id='277164' first='Gianni' last='Pasqualone'] down field for a Touchdown to make the score 7-0. The Rams went backwards, in their first drive with a quick 3-out forced by the defense. After a short punt the Lions offense went back to work. In a run dominated drive, the Lions marched down the field, where Senior [player_tooltip player_id='805722' first='Kevin' last='Gumb Jr'] punched it in for six. The second drive for Fordham Prep started strong with an 11 yard QB run, but quickly fell apart with three straight stops by the defense. A second punt gave the Lions the ball with 4:50 left. After two big running plays from [player_tooltip player_id='805722' first='Kevin' last='Gumb Jr'], Bryce found his brother Braxton to make the score 21-0. Fordham Prep, started gaining momentum on offense, as their third drive added multiple first downs, and ended the quarter with a 21-0 score. </p>

<p>The Second Quarter, added to the struggles of the first, with an early fumble and a big return for the Lions. [player_tooltip player_id='277164' first='Gianni' last='Pasqualone'] started off the drive with a huge first down, that was negated by a penalty. After a few more plays, the Lions got the ball down to the goal line, where they ran the patented tush push to make the score 28-0. Fordham Prep held onto the ball for most the quarter, with multiple nice gains and first downs. Finally with 4ish minutes remaining the Lions forced a punt. Monsignor Farrell, started their drive with a short run, then followed with back to back to back first downs. With 1:45 remaining, [player_tooltip player_id='277164' first='Gianni' last='Pasqualone'] escaped for a huge 40 yard TD run to make it 35-0. After an eight yard run by Fordham Prep, the Rams had back-back incomplete passes and were forced to punt. With five seconds remaining, Moye tossed it deep to the end zone where multiple players batted the ball, leading Monsignor Farrell Senior Lucas Schettino to garb the ball, and end the half with a Hail Mary, and a 42-0 score. </p>

<p>With Monsignor Farrell up big, the Lions and Rams agreed to a running clock. Farrell entered their backups, allowing seniors and underclassmen to receive playing time. The Rams broke free on the score board midway through the quarter with a [player_tooltip player_id='1804757' first='Luke' last='McKay'] Touchdown run, making the score 42-6. After a fumble, and multiple back and forth change of possessions, the Lions ended the 3rd Quarter with a 42-6 lead. The 4th Quarter came and went quickly, with [player_tooltip player_id='820042' first='Alessandro' last='Sanchez'] punching in a Touchdown late and converting a two point conversion. After the score, the Lions ran out the clock and picked up a huge Catholic League win against Fordham Prep 42-14, moving them to 5-1 on the season. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1283757' first='Bryce' last='Moye']</strong>: Moye displayed a pure motion, paired with excellent arm talent. The Lions QB, proved why he is the #1 QB, his four touchdowns added to an impressive Sophomore season. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1278754' first='Braxton' last='Moye']</strong>: The twin brother of Bryce, Braxton had multiple catches throughout the game. He is great off the line, and gets separation easily. His footwork, and skills after the catch are elite for a Sophomore. He has good body control, and can made difficult catches look easy. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='277164' first='Gianni' last='Pasqualone']</strong>: Pasqualone is a quick elusive ATH. The 2026 WR, lined up in the backfield and at WR on offense. He has excellent footwork and a great IQ, allowing him to speed past defenders. His speed is his biggest tool, as he reaches his top speed quickly and is unstoppable. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='805722' first='Kevin' last='Gumb Jr']</strong>: [player_tooltip player_id='805722' first='Kevin' last='Gumb Jr'] is a physical RB. He has good footwork, and changes his direction well to find holes across the line. He can reach his stop speed quickly, and has excellent ball security, taking big hits and holding onto the ball. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1804757' first='Luke' last='McKay']</strong>: McKay had multiple solid runs for Fordham Prep. The RB found the holes with ease in the second half. His COD, and first step were showcased throughout the game, as he stayed on his feet through multiple tackle attempts. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='805718' first='CJ' last='Palazzola'], [player_tooltip player_id='1397417' first='Cole' last='Savino'], and [player_tooltip player_id='939622' first='Alpha' last='Ba']</strong>: The Monsignor Farrell defensive line was elite against Fordham Prep. Savino, Palazzola, and Ba combined for multiple pressures, hurries, and sacks. They all displayed excellent hands, and good placement. High motors were seen with them, as showed speed while tracking down the QB, or ball carrier. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='820042' first='Alessandro' last='Sanchez']</strong>: Sanchez was an elite pass catcher against Monsignor Farrell. The Fordham Prep WR, showed excellent route running, and catching. After the catch, he was elite and tough to tackle. His speed was showcased as well, as after the catch he exploded for big gains. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1362931' first='Kevin' last='Cameron']</strong>: The best word to describe Cameron is ATH. We saw the Fordham Prep player at multiple positions throughout the game. His talent was showcased with an elite IQ, good speed, and playmaking abilities. </p>
