McKay is one of the elite prospects Fordham Prep brought back from last season. The 2027 RB showed elite 4.5-4.4 speed through verified testing combines, and elite footwork to make sharp cuts and carve up field. He showed just that this past week against Stepinac, making defenders miss and finding the hole for a score on offense. I expect McKay to lead the Rams offense this season, and he had a good start to the year.

McKay is an outstanding playmaker who will easily find himself highly ranked in the 2027 Class. McKay measured in at 5’7″ 170-Pounds, displaying a solid frame for a RB.

McKay tracked a 4.49 40-Yard Dash, which impressed me and the other coaches a lot. Throughout the combine portion, McKay ranked in the Top 50 of each drill, and put together a solid showing throughout the evening. Throughout 1v1 and drills, he showcased elite footwork, with sharp cuts, allowing him to excel at the LOS.

Moving to the Fordham Prep sideline. While the score read 42-14, there was a lot to like from the playmakers on the opposing side of the field.

Luke McKay Luke McKay 5'8" | 170 lbs | RB/ATH Fordham Prep | 2027 State NY is a very shifty player that is on the rise at the RB spot. The ability to stop on a dime and redirect was evident. McKay has a threatening ability to accelerate quickly and move smoothly. When it came to week 1, he showed an impressive ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. On the uprise, McKay had 135 all-purpose yards. 65 of the yards were on 13 touches and 70 on 2 returns. Making defenders miss in space with quick cuts allowed McKay to gain additional yardage. Additionally, that special team’s ability displayed his speed greatly.
