SMB's season came to an end this weekend, capping off an impressive run for [player_tooltip player_id='1338141' first='Jonah' last='Schimelpfenig'] who had a strong senior campaign, leading the conference so far with 654 receiving yards on 36 receptions (18.2 YPC) and 5 TDs. A premier slot-receiver, Schimelpfenig has plenty of speed, shiftiness, and dynamic athleticism to win on both short and long routes. Schimelpfenig is a sharp route-runner who is most dangerous after the catch, proving difficult to tackle and showing great vision in being able to find lanes to switch his direction toward to break away from the secondary. Schimelpfenig has a couple of D3 offers as he will look to take his talents to the next level.

Providence Academy experienced a down year in 2025, but [player_tooltip player_id='1867218' first='Nolan' last='Schneider'] was performing at a high level despite the struggles on the team. Schneider finished with 621 yards on 30 receptions (20.7 YPC) and 3 receiving TDs. Schneider shows great timing and awareness on his routes, especially with his double-moves, being able to time his cuts as the ball is being released, letting Schneider run underneath the ball to make a deep catch in stride. Schneider wasn't able to find the end zone a ton, but he was a bona-fide deep threat for much of the 2025 season, consistently bringing big-play potential for the offense. Schneider will look to translate his success at Providence hopefully at the next level as he holds several D3 offers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1576392' first='Caleb' last='Maddox'] has been a game-breaker for Rocori, having a big role in nearly every facet of the game. A multi-purpose weapon, Maddox finished with 536 yards on 26 receptions (20.6 YPC) and 7 receiving TDs while rushing for 231 yards and 5 TDs on the ground (4.4 YPC). At his primary position on defense, Maddox recorded 21 tackles and 4 INTs. Maddox's speed is on another level, and that has been the key toward why he's been so dynamic for the team. Maddox was lined up in a variety of positions, including as an outside WR, slot WR, and as a Wing, being utilized as a Wide-Back. Maddox is simply dangerous with the ball in his hands with his vision, agility, and quick acceleration. Maddox will look to help Rocori pull off an upset on Friday night over #1-seeded Marshall.

Another talented all-purpose threat, [player_tooltip player_id='1602739' first='Sawyer' last='Brown'] has been an impressive swiss-army-knife for Becker's unit. Brown finished with 483 yards on 34 receptions and 7 TDs while rushing for 241 yards (7.5 YPC) and adding 33 tackles and 2 TFLs on defense. Brown has great game-sense on the field, being able to translate his impressive athleticism well on the gridiron as he's utilized in a variety of roles offensively, including at outside WR, slot WR, and as H-Back. His presence will be vital as Becker looks to take down Fergus Falls in the section championship this week.

Willmar had one of the best offenses in the conference this season, and leading the way for a very proficient passing unit was junior [player_tooltip player_id='1781056' first='Aidan' last='Paulson'], who broke out this season with 460 yards on 22 receptions (20.9 YPC) and 6 receiving TDs. A premium vertical threat with breakaway speed, Paulson was an excellent target on go-balls and as a redzone threat, much of Paulson's production this season has been in these facets which has bolstered him as the #1 threat in Willmar's passing game. Paulson will be a rising prospect to watch heading into his senior season in 2026.

While LB is his primary position, [player_tooltip player_id='592312' first='Mikky' last='Heydt'] found another key role for Stewartville as a primary option in their passing game this season. Heydt caught 34 passes for 410 yards and 6 TDs in 2025. Heydt's size suits him better as a wing TE while also having the size to line up as a slot WR. A sneaky receiver who works very well as a checkdown threat while also sneaking up the seams and getting behind the secondary, boasting enough speed to beat LBs in coverage and showing good hands catching through contact. Heydt concludes his high school run as he played a critical role in helping Stewartville win back-to-back state championships between 2023-24.

I watched Tate Prinsen at the 612's showcase this offseason and saw him as a legitimate pass-catching threat, and that translated well through his junior year. Prinsen caught 19 passes for 379 yards (19.9 YPC) and 4 TDs while adding 255 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs (4.2 YPC). Defensively, he notched 4 INTs and had a kick return TD as well. Prinsen has built himself as an all-purpose threat for Como Park, and just by looking at him, Prinsen is huge compared to some of his teammates. Prinsen has been one of the most overlooked athletes in this conference this season, but he will be one of the cornerstones of their team to watch out for entering his senior year.
