Alabama Check In: Noteworthy 2028 DL/EDGE Prospects

Here's a quick check-in on 4 DL/EDGE prospects in Alabama performing at a high level. I expect all of these guys to continue their development towards being FBS-caliber prospects.    This is surprisingly my first close look at Brown, who is currently ranked as the number 1 overall player in the 2028 class in Alabama. He is listed around 6'1 230, size that will project him out as a pass rusher, especially when you factor in his first step explosiveness, speed, and pursuit skills. He is strong at the point of attack, has an elite first step, and will chase the football around the field, which is what the early P4 offers are based around.     Ervin is a breakout performer this fall and has confirmed GO5 interest. He is a true IDL projection at a stout 6'2 265. He has far advanced juice and block-shedding skills for his size and position. He is strong at the point of attack, but he will toss blockers, spin off of them, and is quick off the line to penetrate. He wins in a lot of ways and is ranked as one of the best 2028 DL prospects in Alabama for a reason. I wouldn't be shocked to see him pick up P4 offers this offseason. He has tremendous quickness and 1 on 1 shedding skills.     This is my first look at Price, who is productive both as a run defender and a pass rusher for Central. He is listed around 6'2 230 with plenty of length, which he makes good use of by striking, extending, and ripping through blocks. He tends to do so cleanly. He plays with good instincts and recognition, settling down in an alley with a ball carrier and using his length to engulf. He projects long-term as an edge setter, where his instincts and wide net as a tackler will provide the most value.     Davis is a versatile front-line defender for BRHS who is a candidate to slide inside once fully developed. He is strong at the point of attack, hard to move, and uses his length to engulf ball carriers and keep his chest clean. He bends and maneuvers himself around blockers well, but long term, I think he will be best by adding weight and acting as a plugger on the inside who is athletic enough to make plays around the line of scrimmage. Davis holds D1 offers.
