2025 Queen City Senior Bowl Wide Receivers

The Queen City Senior Bowl is a postseason All-Star Game for senior football players located in the Charlotte, NC Metro Area. The bowl game is in its 7th season and annually hosts 80 of the best players from the Charlotte area. The bowl game raises funds for the Metro School, a school in Charlotte that teaches and helps develop students with various types of disabilities.   Recently, the bowl game announced its selections for the 2025 edition of the bowl. We will take a look at the wide receivers who were selected for the game. His speed and agility are top-notch, and he shows strong hands catching the football. He's got a future at the next level playing college football, in my opinion.     Rakim is committed to playing college football at Air Force, and he's been a big part of West Charlotte becoming a state title contender throughout his career. Rakim has positional versatility where he can play some tight end and be a matchup nightmare in the middle of the field in the passing game. Rakim is a leader and a great culture setter for the Lions, who runs excellent routes and exhibits strong hands when catching the football.     Mike has been a big-time playmaker for the Chargers over the past couple of years and has made a number of highlight-worthy plays throughout the years. His speed is impressive, and he can make defenders miss in the open field with the best of him. I really like his ability to deliver in the clutch most of all though.     Jayden has developed into a reliable playmaker for the Huskies, really stepping up while his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='945238' first='Tyran' last='Evans'] has dealt with an injury for a few weeks. Jayden can win against man coverage and has shown he has some very good speed in the open field. Jayden can also make some highlight reel catches, as he did in the preseason, which started to get his name out there. He's getting some college attention now and deservedly so.     Most people may not know Trashad because of where he plays, but his size/athleticism combo is really impressive. Trashad shows some good body control when running his routes and can high-point the football well against one-on-one coverage. Trashad has several college football programs interested in him, and this will be a great chance to show what he can do on a big stage.     Khalil has been one of my favorite receivers to cover over the last couple of years, and he's had a breakout senior season. Committed to Campbell, Khalil has turned into an absolute monster against one-on-one coverage, winning with strong route running and exceptional speed on the outside. Some people believe Khalil could go to an even bigger school for college football, but the main thing is he's a dynamite playmaker.     The East Carolina commit has had a big season for Porter Ridge so far, as they have a strong record heading into the state playoffs. Raishawn has been used more in the running game this year, and he's shown his versatility and special ability with the ball in his hands, scoring multiple rushing touchdowns throughout the season so far. As a receiver, Raishawn has very good speed and excels against man coverage, especially.     Brody has been a favorite of ours at Prep Redzone North Carolina, and he's taken things to an even higher level this season. Brody is among the leaders in the state in receiving yardage, and it's a testament to how well Brody has worked on his route running, speed, and catching ability. Brody is destroying man coverage this season and has developed the ability to high-point the football in one-on-one situations.     Bryson's size and athletic ability jump off the page when you evaluate him as a player. He's selected for this bowl game as a wide receiver, but he can also play a number of positions defensively. As a receiver, Bryson runs good routes and isn't afraid to go over the middle to make tough contested catches. He can high-point the football well against single coverage against corners on the outside, and he's got very good speed for his size. He should have more attention from a recruiting perspective, in my opinion.     Taquann is a player with some strong potential on the next level. He does a great job in his route running and is able to get open against both man and zone coverage concepts. Taquann exhibits some good catch-and-run ability off of short passes and screens, and he can also get vertical with good speed against corners downfield. I also like Taquann's desire to get dirty and block in the running game as well.     I've liked Gavin's ability in the passing game as a tight end, because he's got the speed to win down the seam against linebackers and safeties, and he has the height to win against smaller corners on the outside when he's flexed out in the formation. Because of his physical traits and size, I'm not sure why he's not getting more recruiting attention, but he's a player who should turn some heads with college coaches during Bowl Week.
