2027 Huntington LB [player_tooltip player_id='1334981' first='CJ' last='Quinn'] has emerged for the Highlanders this season at middle linebacker through the first four weeks. He has quality size for a junior, listed at 6'0 210, and Quinn appears to also have the athleticism to develop into a future standout. They like to walk him up close to the line of scrimmage and allow his size and athleticism to do the rest. Quinn is explosive out of his stance and can consistently get penetration into the backfield if offensive linemen don't match his quickness. He's someone to keep a close eye on over the next year and a half to watch how much he develops, with the potential to be a top linebacker prospect in the 2027 class.

The Logan Wildcats are off to a great start to the 2025 season, and a new name emerging for them is 2027 WR [player_tooltip player_id='1908694' first='Gage' last='Green']. He's seen varsity action as a freshman and sophomore, but Green is off to his best season yet as a junior. He's a big target out wide for the Wildcats with natural ball skills that allow him to consistently win 50/50 balls. Green is capable of bringing down acrobatic and tough catches with very good and reliable hands.

A 2027 prospect to keep tabs on moving forward is Buckhannon-Upshur LB [player_tooltip player_id='1908696' first='Greyson' last='Wyland']. He's coming off a quality performance against a good Elkins team running the Wing-T. Wyland made some plays at outside linebacker in that game against a tough scheme for linebackers and totaled 10 stops. He has a quality 6'0 205 frame that he can keep developing over the next year and a half. Wyland did a nice job in contain on the outside on both sides of the field against Elkins and was able to get off blocks and stretch plays wide.

2027 Washington lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1908698' first='Matthew' last='Gordillo'] has done a nice job on both sides of the line for the Patriots this season and is someone to keep tabs on moving forward. His body could take him in multiple directions as a prospect as it continues to develop. On offense, Gordillo is a quality pulling guard and has the quickness to get out in front of his running backs as a lead blocker consistently. His frame could have him playing along the defensive line in college, where his quickness will translate well.

Mingo Central knows how to produce and develop linebackers, and a new name on the radar this season is 2028 LB [player_tooltip player_id='1616951' first='Peyton' last='Parker']. He'll be overshadowed by some big-name teammates, but Parker is doing a nice job for the Miners as a sophomore. He did a nice job against Wing offenses in the Winfield and Wayne games, showing he has the physciality and play recognition for difficult schemes. Parker does a nice job in run defense and has the willing physicality and effort to sort through the traffic at the line of scrimmage and track down ball carriers.

James Monroe has another Parker brother coming up through their ranks in 2028 LB/EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1700915' first='Brycen' last='Parker'], to watch for the foreseeable future. Older brother Brock is a standout for the Mavericks on both sides of the ball, and Brycen has shown early signs that he can develop into a future standout in his own right in time. If he matches his older brother's work ethic, Parker should reach that potential as an upperclassman. He's quick off the edge and brings physicality behind his pads as well as high effort pursuit of the ball.

2028 Grafton OL [player_tooltip player_id='1322322' first='Logan' last='Jones'] has taken over at center this season for the Bearcats and has done a nice job there as a sophomore. That's a tough position for a young player and speaks to the trust that his coaches have in him. If he keeps developing physically, getting bigger and stronger over the next two years, Jones could earn some college attention as an offensive line prospect. He's showing the early signs that he'll reach that potential in time if he takes care of business moving forward.
