[player_tooltip player_id='473754' first='Cruz' last='Campbell'] - Senior Quarterback - Tuttle

Tuttle senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='473754' first='Cruz' last='Campbell'] made a massive jump last season, becoming one of the state's very best at the position. Campbell threw for 40 touchdowns and nearly 3,000 yards while helping the Tigers make it to the 4A state championship game. But Campbell isn't on this list only for what he did last season. It plays a small part. Campbell has continued to be one of the best quarterbacks in the state, despite Tuttle losing two D1 wide receivers to graduation. And the Tigers have taken down two top ten teams in Class 5A in impressive fashion in the first two weeks. From our vantage point, it looks like Campbell has just picked up where he left off last season. The Tigers look like a serious state championship contender once again in Class 4A and that starts with Campbell at quarterback. Campbell's ascent to becoming one of the state's best quarterbacks about 18 months ago. He's been on the rise ever since and now, he's looking like one of the state's best overall players for the 2025 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] - Junior Quarterback - Broken Bow

It was around this time last year that Broken Bow quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1525562' first='Greydon' last='Howell'] started making headlines across the state. He was a sophomore dual-threat quarterback who joined the football team in the offseason after he was a standout on the basketball court and baseball field. Howell had an immediate impact, putting up video game numbers and earning the reputation of being arguably the most electric quarterback in the state. On any given Friday night, Howell is a threat to throw for 200 yards or run for 200 yards and in the very rare instances, he could possibly do both in the same game. Howell and the Savages are off to a great start this season, with back to back wins over 5A teams. Last week, Howell threw two touchdowns and ran for two more while throwing and running for more than 100 yards each. Despite missing the playoffs in 2024, Howell has the Savages as one of the 4A teams to watch this season as a serious state championship contender. He's a complete game changer at QB.

[player_tooltip player_id='1569774' first='Maddax' last='Mobly'] - Senior Running Back/Defensive Back - Sulphur

This might be recency bias because we just saw him in person but, scratch that, it's not. Sulphur senior and Navy commit [player_tooltip player_id='1569774' first='Maddax' last='Mobly'] is one of the best players in the state and his performance in the 28-19 win over Washington last week just backed that statement up. Mobly came into the Friday night clash nursing a sore ankle. Because of that, he wasn't asked to do much in the first half. In the second half, they let him loose and he completely took over. Offensively, Mobly finished with multiple touchdowns and helped put Washington away with tough runs on those scores and fourth down conversions. Defensively, he was flying all over the field with hard hits, multiple pass break ups and an interception with less than two minutes to play that snapped Washington's 45-game winning streak. It was just one game but it was one of the best individual performances that we've seen in the last few years. Not to mention that Mobly is a big reason why Sulphur is once again a serious 3A title contender.
