PRZ AL's Game of the Week: Baker (3-0) vs. Jackson (2-1)

After a thrilling Week 2, we're previewing a huge Week 3 matchup between Baker (3-0) and Jackson (2-1)   Both these teams have STACKED rosters, so we're discussing who we think everyone should look out for this week.   As always, check out these prospects' film below! You won't want to miss out on this group.   Let's dive in:   <h1 class="wp-block-heading">OFFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">JACKSON</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='350449' first='Landon' last='Duckworth'] has been one of the state's top QBs over the last four years and will be facing a tough Baker team this week.   “Duckworth has terrific arm strength, delivers the ball with excellent touch, and can deliver accurate passes all across the field. In addition to his arm talent, Duckworth has an elite ability to read defenses and does a great job utilizing his mobility to his advantage.   Whenever Duckworth gets pressured or sees an open lane, he has the speed and elusiveness to extend and make the most out of broken plays.“   Duckworth has been playing at a seriously high level so far this season, consistently making explosive plays against some talented defenses across the state.   Check out some of Duckworth's highlights from this past weekend. He's an electric playmaker Baker will have to account for both on the ground and through the air this week.      [player_tooltip player_id='1051656' first='Ezavier' last='Crowell'] is the best RB recruit in the nation. Baker will have to have all hands on deck to stop him this week.   “Crowell is a rare talent who can do everything at the RB position. He's extremely fast, has tons of twitch, and can easily turn upfield and make defenders miss for massive plays on the ground.   In addition to his speed, Crowell is a physical back who can easily shake defenders. He's strong, runs hard, and has elite contact balance he uses to always stay on his feet despite big hits.“   Crowell is putting together another special season this year. He's been unstoppable the last two weeks and will present a ton of issues to Baker's run defense this week. We'll have to look out for him.    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">BAKER</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1801733' first='Tate' last='Graham'] is a seriously talented junior QB out of Baker who's been lighting teams up so far this season.   “At 6'5 225, Graham has the prototypical build for the QB position. He has great size, impressive arm talent, and a clear understanding of what he needs to do with the ball. He's quick to scan the field, gets the ball out fast, and is great at selling play action to create huge opportunities downfield.   I can't lie, Graham has one of the best deep balls I've seen recently. He has terrific arm strength and ball placement that he uses to drop dimes over the tops of defenses for massive plays. I'm seriously impressed with how he hits his WRs in stride. Even if they're covered, he'll put the ball only where his guys can make a play on it. Graham should be on everyone's radar this fall- I'm not kidding."   Graham has been off to a terrific start this season, having multiple dominant performances in the air and leading his team to a 3-0 start. Most impressively, Graham threw for 350+ yards and 6 TDs in his team's blowout win over Alma Bryant a little over a week ago.   We're all going to have to watch out for Graham this week. I've been really impressed with his game; it's going to be exciting seeing him compete with a defense of this level.   Take a look at some of Graham's film from this season, you'll be impressed:      [player_tooltip player_id='1850682' first='Jailen' last='Wheeler'] has had an electric start to the season, finding tons of success on the ground for Baker's rushing attack.   “I'm really impressed with Wheeler's skill set. He's electric with the ball in his hands and can create huge plays on the ground and through the air by using his explosive speed and quickness. In addition to his speed, Wheeler also has terrific balance. He can easily change his direction, make defenders miss, and stay on his feet no matter who is in front of him- it's seriously impressive to watch.“   Wheeler has been explosive in every sense of the word. It's been seriously impressive watching him play like he has; no team/defense has found a way to slow him down this season.   Jackson will have a big task on their hands with Wheeler. Make sure you check out some of his film from the last few weeks.     <h1 class="wp-block-heading">DEFENSE</h1>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">JACKSON</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1314954' first='Demetrius' last='Wilson'] is a dominant piece of Jackson's defensive front who's capable of taking away any team's run game by himself.   “At 6'3 290, Wilson is massive and gets great penetration on the LOS every single snap, no matter what offenses are trying to do. He explodes off the line, has violent hands, and can completely overwhelm OL with his combination of speed and power.   Wilson commands so much attention up front and still finds ways to work into the backfield to create plays for loss. He's a dominant run defender who eats up space, closes up rushing lanes, and finds his way to the RB every single carry.“   In my opinion, Wilson is one of the best run defenders in the state. He's been able to shut down and produce against some of the state's top RBs. [player_tooltip player_id='1850682' first='Jailen' last='Wheeler'] will have to watch out for him upfront; it'll be a battle in the trenches.   Check out some of Wilson's clips from this season. He's playing at a really high level this year:      [player_tooltip player_id='1649065' first='Jaiden' last='McDonald'] is a productive EDGE on Jackson's front who can make huge impacts against the run and pass.   "McDonald is incredibly versatile off the edge and is an every-down playmaker for this Jackson defense. Against the run, McDonald is an aggressive force who does a great job fighting off blockers to get to the ball carrier, coming up with multiple stops behind the line of scrimmage or for little gain.   McDonald brings the same impact on passing downs- he's a productive pass rusher who constantly pressures/takes down quarterbacks, leading to bad decisions with the ball and huge stops behind the line."   I've been really impressed with McDonald's versatility. He's a reliable pass rusher who can create a ton of pressure and stops in the backfield. [player_tooltip player_id='1801733' first='Tate' last='Graham'] will have to make sure he gets the ball out quickly with a player like McDonald coming after him.     <h2 class="wp-block-heading">BAKER</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1880424' first='Myles' last='Johnson'] is an impressive DB who's lined up at FS and CB in Baker's secondary over the last few years.   "Johnson is an intelligent player who finds ways to make an impact whether he's on defense or special teams. He has great instincts, is quick to find the ball, and can make some impressive open-field tackles to eliminate huge plays.   In coverage, Johnson has impressive timing and a reliable set of hands he uses to fly around and break up passes. He's a well-rounded defender teams will have to watch out for in multiple phases of the game."   Last year, Johnson created some really impressive PBUs against Jackson. Johnson will be matching up against some talented WRs this Friday. I'm excited to watch.      [player_tooltip player_id='1880427' first='Alex' last='Hawthorne'] is a dominant run defending LB who will have a big task ahead of him this week playing against [player_tooltip player_id='1051656' first='Ezavier' last='Crowell'].   "I'm seriously impressed with Hawthorne's run defense. He's quick on his feet, gets downhill fast, and can deliver some huge hits behind or just past the line of scrimmage to create stops.   Hawthorne is a really talented tackler. He takes great angles to get to the ball carrier, gets low, wraps up, and doesn't allow for any additional yardage after he makes contact. I'm excited to see how he'll perform down the stretch of this season."   Hawthorne is a really skilled LB who's been making a big impact in his junior season this fall. We're all going to have to watch out for him this week, as he's going up against one of the best RBs out there. It'll be an exciting head-to-head matchup between the two of them.
