10. St.Francis (Last Week, NR)

Major shakeups with the top ten this week find St. Francis, right back in the mix. The Red Raiders, are the top team in the Monsignor Martin league, and sit at a record of 3-1 across their first four games. Last week they dropped out of the top ten, due to a loss against one of the top teams in MA in Catholic Memorial, by a score of 56-32. This past week, we saw the Red Raiders travel to Erie PA, and pick up a huge win against Cathedral Prep, 49-22. The level of competition St. Francis is playing, is outstanding, along with their record. Due to a big bounce back win, and key loses from teams ahead of them around the state, the Red Raiders find their way back in the top ten.

9. Archbishop Stepinac (Last Week, NR)

Welcome back Archbishop Stepinac. The Crusaders fell out of the top ten, due to an OT loss last week against Chaminade. Stepinac, has played a grueling schedule in the first half of the season, facing tough out of state opponents, along with top teams from inside of the Catholic League. I debated their presence in the list, with a 3-2 record, but a bounce back win against a good St. Joseph By the Sea team, along with multiple top teams in the state losing, propels them back up the rankings into the Ninth slot.

8. Sayville (Last Week, 9)

Sayville is the first ranked team to move up from last week. Entering the weekend, [player_tooltip player_id='747206' first='Patrick' last='Coan'] and the Golden Flashes, entered the week undefeated, and continued their dominance. In the last two seasons, Sayville has lost once, with Garden City winning in the Playoffs last season. Their Offense is lights out, scoring over 30 points in all three games, and their defense is putting together solid performances, averaging 14 points per game in the early portion of the season. Their level of competition does stop me from ranking them higher, but the losses of other top teams, along with another Sayville win, puts the Golden Flashes at Eighth.

7. Canisius (Last Week, NR)

Canisius is my top school in WNY, along with the Monsignor Martin League. The Crusaders sit at 2-2, but have played their fair share of tricky opponents. Canisius opened up the season, with a win against Scranton Prep in PA, by a score of 41-28. The next two weeks were difficult, as Ohio powerhouses Ironton, and Walsh Jesuit, blew out the Crusaders. Despite the blowout, I count these loses as quality loses, as the combined record of the two schools is 10-2, and they are among the best in Ohio. In their first Monsignor Martin game of the season, the Crusaders took down St. Joseph Collegiate, 45-28 behind a rushing attack that is the top in the state, thanks to [player_tooltip player_id='778700' first='Elijah' last='Kimble']. While their record is a knock, their tough schedule, and performance against one of the top teams in the Monsignor Martin league, allows them to enter the list.

6. Tottenville (Last Week, NR)

Tottenville, has been a top twenty team in the state for the past few weeks, and the loses of other teams, allows them to enter the list. The Pirates are my top team in the PSAL league, and sit at 5-0. Last week we had Erasmus Hall ranked 10th, and we saw the Pirates take them down in a 38-35 last second thriller, led by Senior [player_tooltip player_id='402273' first='Tyshawn' last='Bent']. Sitting as an undefeated team, and having big wins against Erasmus Hall, South Shore, and Wall Township, allow Tottenville to enter the top ten. The Pirates play a grueling end of season schedule, which will showcase how good they truly are. Tottenville faces Wagner, Eagle Academy II, Lincoln, Kennedy, and Curtis in their final five games. Loses from other teams across the state have helped the Pirates enter the top ten, but this week against Wagner will be a huge test to see if they stay in the top ten of the Power Rankings.
