The first three weeks of the season have passed, and we'll be highlighting prospects who have produced highlight tapes for their first few games. Colleges will evaluate prospect film from the first three games of the season to assess their progress from last year and the off-season, as they update their recruiting boards. Here are some EDGE/DL prospects to check out from the first four weeks of the season with film!

2026 Huntington DL [player_tooltip player_id='1138539' first='Max' last='Bohren'] is having a nice start to his senior year for the Highlanders and has done so on both sides of the ball this season. He's giving colleges another look at where he could play at the next level on offense this season at tight end. Bohren certainly has the frame to play that position at the next level after some development, but he has been his usual self at defensive end this season, too. He's coming off a dominant performance against a young and rebuilding Hurricane squad in week four at DE, where he is still most likely to project at the next level.

2026 Capital EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1139359' first='Jakori' last='Clark'] has moved down to the defensive line this season for the Cougars and has been very good at his new position through the first four weeks. He's likely to be an edge rusher at the next level, but is giving great reps at defensive end as a senior. Clark has the athleticism and size to develop into a future star at the next level as an edge rusher, with his quickness and twitchiness on display at defensive end. He should see an increase in recruitment interest over the next several months based on what he's putting on tape so far this season.

The Nitro Wildcats have one of the best defensive fronts in the state of West Virginia this season, and 2026 EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1127296' first='Shamar' last='Smith'] has bolstered that unit even further as a senior. He's new to the program, but certainly isn't new to creating havoc as an EDGE/DE player. Smith has totaled 8 TFLs and 4.5 sacks through the first four weeks while also being credited with 15 QB hurries. His pad level, leverage, and quickness coming off the end make him nearly impossible to block 1-on-1 for offensive tackles in the state, which has led to his high production thus far.

We've been high on 2026 Logan DL Rob Ball for a long time now, and colleges need to start taking notice of his ability now that he's a senior. He's quiet on social media, so he may have picked up several offers to date, but Ball is a definite D2-level talent who could develop into a future stud at that level. Ball is an excellent interior defensive line prospect who could play 0-3 tech in college. He's a big, physical athlete with a lot of power behind his 6'3 285 frame, but also has underrated athleticism for a player his size. Ball is having a great first four games for the undefeated Wildcats, and should have every D2 program in the state after his services.

Another Nitro Wildcat who's an important piece to their dominant defensive front is 2026 DL [player_tooltip player_id='894931' first='Bryce' last='Snyder']. He's a strong cog in the middle of their defensive line unit and does a great job of clogging running lanes at the middle of the line of scrimmage. Snyder has the strength and power to defeat double teams and get push on 1-on-1 matchups consistently. You'll find him making a lot of plays at and behind the LOS, which has led to high production the last season and a half after moving down from linebacker.
