Class 3A has been an interesting conference to watch over the first 3 weeks of the 2025 season, with 10 teams remaining undefeated and only 6 teams without a win yet to start the year, Class 3A already has strong teams distinguished from the rest of the pack, but the gap toward the top of the conference is not large and nearly every team is still very much in the mix.

Starting the season 0-2, Carroll seemed to be in rough shape going into week 3 against the reigning runner-ups of the Class 3A State Championship. Humboldt would outpace Carroll in total yardage (409-268), but Carroll's defense stood out as they nabbed 4 interceptions on the Wildcats, which proved critical in giving Carroll a late edge. Trailing 34-33 late in the game, Humboldt scored a touchdown with 38 seconds to go, but decided to go for 2, where Carroll's defense made one last stand to secure a stunning upset. Not bad earning their first win of the season against a state finalist last year.

Top Performer: [player_tooltip player_id='1656855' first='Adam' last='Malik'] (JR) - Leading the way for the Tigers' potent run-game which ran for over 250 yards against the Wildcats' defense, Malik finished with 131 yards on 22 carries (6 YPC) and 2 rushing TDs.

Greene County arrived with low expectations taking on an offense which averaged 42 PPG over the first 2 games of the 2025 season, but it proved to be a hard-fought match with the Rams overcoming a 14-0 deficit during the 3rd quarter to tie the game heading into the 4th. Both teams withheld each other from scoring and the game ultimately went into overtime, where the Thunder emerged with a touchdown with the first possession. However, their Kicker missed the Extra Point wide left. The Rams responded with a touchdown drive of their own, capped off with a game-sealing Extra Point to pull off a huge road upset.

Top Performer: Zack Stalder (SR) - Overcoming 2 interceptions thrown in the game, Stalder finished the night 16 of 24 for 153 yards and a touchdown, adding 48 yards on the ground on 17 carries, and punching in touchdown in OT on a QB sneak that silenced the Thunder at home.

Burlington vs. Washington: 16-14

Having lost their first two games of the season, Washington had a lopsided matchup on paper heading into week 3 taking on an impressive Burlington unit which scored a whopping 107 points over the first 2 games. However, the Demons were able to keep Burlington contained from scoring points for much of the game. Despite compiling 303 yards of total offense, 2 interceptions and several missed opportunities would hurt the Grayhounds, and Washington would hold on for their first win of the season at home in upset fashion, hopefully putting the team back on track toward competing like they did in 2024.

Defensively, Williams added 3.5 tackles (3 solo), 1.5 TFLs, 1 forced fumble, and an interception.
