Scouting Reports: Interesting Iowa Seniors-to-Be

Prep Redzone Iowa has continued preparations for it by rifling through student-athletes' highlight videos and churning out evaluations.   If you don't yet have highlights on your Hudl page, interested college coaches will be looking for them on there and elsewhere. Ask for help if you need it in compiling a video with any clips you have.   Here's another batch of fresh reports:    Pickner put together a solid junior season at Boyden Hull-Rock Valley in 2025. He produced 28.5 tackles, 12 of which were solo stops. Pickner picked up 3.5 tackles for loss as well. His <a href="https://x.com/kayden_pickner/status/2015164024887939488?s=20" id="https://x.com/kayden_pickner/status/2015164024887939488?s=20">11th-grade highlight video</a> provides evidence as to how he gets the job done. A slot corner/safety type, Pickner diagnoses plays quickly. He breaks off the route and gets down hill in run support in a flash. Pickner breaks down and wraps up well when tackling. He plays physically with active hands, helping him to quickly separate from blocks. A good athlete with fluid movements, Pickner sticks to receivers in coverage and does well in tracking the ball. It's a high football IQ and a high motor with room to grow in all areas, which should interest college scouts.     Production was not a problem for Drew during the 2025 season. The Lawton-Bronson junior completed 54.4 percent of his passes for 1,852 yards and 12 touchdowns. He rushed for a team-best 330 yards and four scores. On defense, he registered 26.5 tackles with 16 of them being solo stops. He added a tackle for loss, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and two interceptions. We can witness how Drew finds success when watching his <a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20327944/6962c13830611a4d4f81039f" id="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20327944/6962c13830611a4d4f81039f">11th-grade highlight video</a>. The tall lefty can sling it from the pocket with arm strength to slide the ball through tight windows and stretch the field. Drew cycles through his progressions well and shows a good feel for the pressure in the pocket. An impressive athlete, he can tuck the ball and go or keep the play alive off of schedule. It's a skill set and athleticism that could work at another position, too. His frame is projectable and capable of adding good weight in a college strength and conditioning program.     In a Glenwood wide receiver room with a lot of mouths to feed, Eiseman ate when given the opportunity. The junior hauled in 19 balls for 256 yards and three touchdowns. The <a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20276402/691ca0adac7978a67418a8e7" id="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/20276402/691ca0adac7978a67418a8e7">11th-grade highlight video</a> reveals a technically-sound route runner. On the first clip, he sucks the defensive back up on an underneath move and then cuts quickly upfield for a long touchdown. Eiseman delivers on a skinny post fade to the inside corner of the end zone on Clip 2. He beats a pair of defenders for a score on a diving grab. It's a well-rounded skill set at receiver, probably best suited for the slot, where burst and quick cuts help make linebackers and defensive backs miss in space. And, again, they help him shake the opposition when he's stretching the field. Eiseman looks like a guy that can help special teams' units on the next level, too.     Cedar Falls enjoys a long history of developing next-level defenders. Fever has the look of a guy that could help plenty of college programs on that side of the ball and special teams. As a Tiger junior in 2025, he recorded 35.0 tackles, 22 of which were solo stops, and a half tackle for loss. Fever illustrates how he gets the job done during his <a href="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/22692427/6905a1d86c4b96816ecfc82a" id="https://www.hudl.com/video/3/22692427/6905a1d86c4b96816ecfc82a">11th-grade highlight video</a>. The first clip has him lining up as an outside cornerback, reading run, separating from a block and getting to the ball like he was shot of a cannon. Fever reads and reacts quickly, staying with his guy in coverage or getting downhill in a hurry against the run. He's physical with sound form in tackling. Fever is fluid when running with receivers, easily changing directions and breaking on the ball. Long arms also help create tight windows for opposing quarterbacks. Fever's frame can take on plenty of good weight and add strength.     I had a chance to scout Murguia in person during the state semifinals at the UNI-Dome back in November. He came up with 5.0 tackles, all of them solo stops, during a loss to eventual Class 2A champion Kuemper Catholic. For the season, the junior totaled 37.0 tackles with 30 of them being of the solo variety. Murguia delivered 3.5 tackles for loss and intercepted four passes. He's a versatile defender capable of running with receivers in coverage or coming down against the run. Quickly reading the offense's intentions puts him in position to make plays. Fluid hip movement and smooth change of direction aid him in sticking with pass catchers. Active hands and lateral quickness lead to him reaching the rush, where technically strong tackling drops guys in their tracks. It's a skill set that could also find success in the receiving game and would work well on special teams.
