Week Two of the Indiana high school football season is officially in the books, and several defensive prospects really shined. Here are four standouts, two of whom also play on offense, who played well on defense and showed they can lay the hammer on opposing offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1180305' first='Mason' last='Oglesby'] had a big game against Decatur Central: he had 73 yards receiving and a touchdown as a tight end, and two sacks and one forced fumble on defense. New Palestine held Decatur Central's explosive offense in-check, holding the Hawks to just six points. Oglesby is a great pass rusher with a great frame, and likely one of the top Hoosier State recruiting targets in the Class of 2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='1238154' first='Landon' last='Guerra'] isn't a household name, but he may soon be especially on a high-impact team that has scored more than 44 points in each of their first two games. Shutting out Indianapolis Tindley, he recorded one interception on defense and two touchdowns on offense in just two-and-a-half quarters played. Against the run, Geurra is very good; he comes to balance well in space and is a solid open-field tackler.

Ricky White played much bigger than his 5-foot-9 size would indicate. On Friday against Evansville Memorial, he wracked up 11 total tackles, 7 solo tackles and two pass deflections on defense. White is a very good linebacker who takes great angles to the ball and has great closing speed.

Brownsburg keeps playing at high level of football, and Week Two was no exception: the Bulldogs shut down Cathedral, holding the Irish scoreless. A big piece to their defensive puzzle is Chancellor Adams, who had seven tackles, two pass breakups and an interception. The 6-foot-2, 175-pound safety has excellent ball skills, but he is also a good open-field tackler and strong against the run. He holds just one offer from Toledo, but that will liekly change.
