2027 Stock Risers, Prospects Elevating Pre-Ranking Update, Part 4

<ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>5'10, 162 pounds. Major growth since our last measurable update for Roman Catholic's [player_tooltip player_id='910860' first='Jayden' last='Alford']. Self-reports a 3.46 GPA. I caught wind of Alford's off-season transfer a bit late, will rank well among PA 2027s. Received scholarship offers from New Hampshire, Old Dominion, Delaware State, and UMass this past off-season. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Plugged in Alford's first-four that's available on Hudl. Leads Roman Catholic in receiving yards, at least through four games. Comfortable working as an inside slot man in 3x1/trips sets. Has a nsoe for the endzone, can be expected to score from anywhere out. Elite accelerator, likely a track star, but unsure if he participates. Has a variety of routes in his repertoire. A three-level weapon that can separate with stride downfield and with short-area agility and lateral quickness/balance. Elite ball tracker. One of the best pure playmakers in his class, his future ranking will reflect that notion. Alignment versatile, RAC guy, there's so much to like on tape, Alford's an easy watch/eval. Lacrosse participant at West Chester East. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>51/96 through five games this Fall, 700+ passing yards with 11 total TDs accounted for. Lively arm on tape, no limitations in terms of route range capabilities, WC East play callers can call pretty much any passing concepts they want with Cummings behind center. Off-platform capable passer, tape is littered with impressive throws out of the tackle box and/or off-balance. I hear nothing but great things about his intangibles. Can hit tight windows in holes in front of safeties, love his confidence to test zone defenders who are relatively close to his target. These somewhat mundane reps, the "easy" ones are the special ones in my eyes. HS QB prospects don't make the routine stuff look easy, Cummings does. He reminds me of the sophomore version of [player_tooltip player_id='284126' first='Gavin' last='Sidwar'] a bit, huge praise, even if Cummings is a current junior. On our watch list for some months, yet likely to come off said list after taking a look at his Hudl. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Nothing on Hudl outside of a sophomore tape that was posted relatively late in the process. This alone will have Bethea in consideration for removal from our watch list. That being said, I want to see more junior production. I know college coaches out West are equally interested and intrigued by Bethea's potential. On our watch list, will see if clips on X will be enough for a proper evaluation. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Watson has two tapes released on Hudl within the last 30 days. Want to see more but solid start for a prospect currently on our watch list. Watson shows off a red zone interception while stationed at DB. Not a lot of production to be had on tape, yet a huge play can be witnessed, with Watson catching a screen behind the LOS, one he takes 60+ yards for a score. This rep shows me what Watson is capable of when given opportunities. Two-way starter. Is a basketball player at Marian Catholic, makes sense, Griguoli's size makes him the ideal TE/DE prospect. 9.88-inch hand size. Is a 3rd baseman for MC as well. Unsure how I missed his tape/work in previous years. </li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Love the variety of alignments seen on tape. Griguoli is a new addition to our database after the junior tagged me in several X posts. Games in August have Griguoli catching screens behind the LOS and looking better than expected after the catch, I was caught off guard by his athleticism initially. You can then witness Griguoli work off the edge as an OLB in a standard 3-4 front. A bit raw as a defender, yet I applaud Griguoli's effort in pursuit of the football, as well as his ability to eat up/sustain his gap. Is asked to block when aligned in a traditional TE spot. Can be tasked with serving as a flanker in this offense, Marian Catholic has no problem stationing Griguoli outside the hash marks, too. There are traits and levels to unlock in this prospect, would love to see him in person.
