Sweetwyne opened the season with a vengeance as he reopened his recruitment. He accounted for over 400 yards; he looked crisp, decisive and precise on the evening. His arm talent has improved from the offseason and with his improved accuracy and ball placement, to go along with his good velocity and ability to pick up chunk yards on the ground, he'll have a massive season. He shredded the Mountain Ridge defense.

Bessinger opened up his Senior season on a tear. He picked apart the Brighton defense and easily got to his third reads. He displayed better velocity and was a much more decisive passer. He kept the offense ahead of the chains and took shots when he had to. He orchestrated a perfect game. He'll help Davis make a deep postseason run and a shot at the 6A state title.

Kelling was a rapid processer during the offseason 7's, and that parlayed into the season opener. He was efficient and decisive. He got to his second reads with ease and took aggressive shots when he needed. He is a player who will be at the FBS/FCS level and will be a playmaker there.

Hales is an aggressive passer and will stress the defense by taking shots all over the field and creating havoc. He had a great offseason and started the season on that same momentum and he looked crisp and processed quickly. He does a good job of moving around the pocket and biding time, and does a good job of placing the ball where his receivers can get it and keep the ball away from danger.

Mason is a good athlete and someone who moves around well in the pocket. He can bide additional time with his escapability. He does a good job of intermediate to deep throws. He opened the season and put that on full display. He was a decisive passer and let it rip, he had a great week.
