Much attention has been focused on ball in the 317 (central Indiana) with so many big-time match-ups in Class 6A dominating headlines, but not enough attention has been devoted to the 574-region: northern Indiana, which routinely produces good football players and teams. Here are four standouts from northern Indiana who balled out last Friday in Week One.

I saw Glick in-person at his college day last spring, and there's no doubt that he has a ton of talent with his speed and athleticism. Strong and with a rocked-up, well-built frame, Glick is very dynamic after the catch and knows how to score. He recorded 11 tackles for 174 yards and three total touchdowns in a 28-21 victory over crosstown rival West Lafayette.

Baldini had a strong Week One performance in a decisive 48-0 victory over Peru. Baldini wastes no time getting upfield, churning forward for positive yards and displaying great dual-threat ability out of the backfield. He is just as much a threat in the running game as he is in the passing game when utilized as a receiver on screens. He recorded 13 carries for 184 yards, two catches for 36 yards, and four total touchdowns.

Tarrh is a solid route runner and multi-purpose threat. He can take handoffs/direct snaps to the house and displays strong top-end juice when he finds a crease. What's more: he has burner speed as a route runner, displaying explosiveness off the LOS and the ability to quickly press the field vertically. He had 7 catches for 247 yards, two touchdowns on offense and six tackles and two pass deflections on defense.

In a 21-13 victory over Valparaiso, Hall shined with a solid stat line: he was 11/17 for 233 yards and two touchdowns through the air. One of those touchdowns was a 64-yard catch-and-run, and he throws with strong velocity over the middle of the field. The offense as a whole had 346 total yards with no turnovers. Although he is more of a pocket passer, he can elude rushers and buy time with his legs. Keep an eye on this young junior quarterback as he looks to return Penn to state title contention.
