Gilliam, a James Madison University commit, racked up 15 sacks last season. He was named to Maryland's Class 4A All-State football team for his on-field performance. As a pass-rusher, I love how he bends around the edge to get around offensive linemen in route to the quarterback. Gilliam gets off the ball with urgency and that allows him to be a disrupter against both the run and the pass. He's very capable of reaching 20-plus sacks this season.

Bond received his first Division I offer from Toledo back in May. He rushes the passer with power and doesn't stay blocked. Bond's collegiate position will be on the inside, but he's than a solid edge defender at the high school level. I was impressed with some of the second-effort plays on his 2024 season highlights. Look for him to take that next step to becoming a great player.

Jackson has already put himself on the map of the recruiting world. His early offers include Maryland, Howard, UNC, Toledo, and Syracuse. I agree with his self-assessment of being a Swiss-army knife. He can play strong safety, cornerback, and nickel cornerback. Jackson's range and ability to play deep like a centerfield and make plays stands out. His football IQ for his age is impressive. The ability to recognize route combos and reading the quarterbacks eyes in a quick manner is impressive.

Mizzer was recognized as one of the top offensive players in the Class 4A West region. He's a shifty wide receiver who can makes plays from the outside and inside. Mizzer is also solid as a punt and kick returner. There's a few plays on his highlights that show he's able to pick up big yardage after the catch. He is a mismatch in the slot. He's either going to defeat the safety in 1v1 coverage or find openings against zone coverage. Look for a big year from Mizzer.

Drakeford, a transfer from Westlake, provides Quince Orchard with an experienced quarterback. He had a breakout season in 2024, completing 107-of-171 passes for 1,279 yards, 15 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also carried the football 51 times for 536 yards and one touchdown. Drakeford definitely increases the odds for a Quince Orchard state chip repeat in 2025.
