He made 50 overall tackles (30 solo). Evans lined up primarily at middle linebacker but is versatile enough to play on the outside as well. He's undersized, but that doesn't seem to matter after looking at his film. Evans diagnoses the run quickly and covers a lot of ground quickly. When left unblocked, Evans causes havoc in the backfield. He's a sideline-to-sideline guy who stays square to the line of scrimmage and maintains gap integrity. There are a few plays where he effectively blocks at the second level. Brown's low height gives him a natural leverage advantage. He's able to sustain blocks with power and balance. What stands out to me in his first several plays of his sophomore-year highlights is his sharp cuts on his breaks and ability to adjust his route to the coverage. Whether it's splitting double coverage or finding the open space in the zone, he finds a way to get open. Tupper is fast enough to get just enough separation on intermediate routes downfield. He does a good job of timing his jumps and high-pointing the football. Whether it's him pressing a receiver on the line of scrimmage or him lined up off the receiver, his technique puts him in a great position to make plays. I like the way he reroutes receivers when he's at the line of scrimmage, giving no free release. Brown understands spacing in Cover 2, 3, and quarters. He does a good job of reacting quickly to underneath throws. More film of Brown in man-to-man coverage would help his recruiting efforts. He's a very active run and pass defender. Yes, he's on the lean side. Hawkins is a hybrid defender who shows up in run support, zone coverage, and sometimes as a blitzer. He doesn't shy away from contact despite his lean frame. Hawkins will need some time in college to put on at least 20-25 pounds to handle the physicality at the level.
