At 6’3”, 160 pounds, Hawkins is a dynamic and instinctive defensive back who excels at reading the quarterback’s eyes and locating the football. His hands and ball skills make him a natural turnover threat, and he consistently puts himself in position to create impactful plays in the secondary.
Hawkins demonstrates excellent technique in backpedaling and dropping into zone coverage, where he performs at a very high level. He projects well as a free safety at the next level due to his instincts, range, and ability to anticipate plays. While most effective in zone schemes, additional reps in man-to-man coverage would enhance his versatility. Hawkins’ combination of size, awareness, and playmaking ability makes him a dangerous and reliable presence in the defensive backfield.

Hawkins is an in-the-box strong safety with a lot of range. He’s a very active run and pass defender. Yes, he’s on the lean side. Hawkins is a hybrid defender who shows up in run support, zone coverage, and sometimes as a blitzer. He doesn’t shy away from contact despite his lean frame. Hawkins will need some time in college to put on at least 20-25 pounds to handle the physicality at the level. For now, expect him to finish his high school football career on a strong note.

A tall, long and athletic corner, Alijah is the prototype for his position and everything colleges look for at the next level from a DB. Alijah is excellent at using his size and long arms to disrupt and break up passes, as he did numerous times this weekend. He shows fluid hips, able to breakdown and re-start his movement quickly to go and attack the ball. Alijah offers a lot of positional flexibility, being able to play CB, S, Nickel and comes down into the box well to support the run. Already starting to garner some interest from FBS/FCS/D2 school, his first offer can not be far away. Alijah will be one lots of schools will be looking to get eyes on this spring & summer.
