Section Eight has produced some impressive teams and players over the last few years. In this article we predict the top three teams across Section Eight. Only three teams will be featured in this article, as I believe multiple are tied for the #4 and #5 slot on this list.

3. Farmingdale

Coach: Buddy Krumenacker

Coach Krumenacker led his Dalers to a 9-2 record in 2024. Key wins for Farmingdale included Port Washington, Syosset, and Oceanside. The two loses both came at the hands to Massapequa once in the regular season and the playoffs. Key loses for Farmingdale include WR Gavin Gatchalian, QB Dennis Finkel, and ATH James Collins Jr. The key returners for the Dalers include OL's [player_tooltip player_id='1308480' first='Jordan' last='Petzold'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1344720' first='Jack' last='McCarthy'], DB [player_tooltip player_id='1628216' first='Jacob' last='Gould'], and RB [player_tooltip player_id='1606923' first='Josh' last='Kama']. Seven games are listed on the schedule for Farmingdale. I predict a record of 6-1 for the Dales. The key wins include Syosset, Oceanside, Port Washington, and Hempstead. The one loss on the schedule comes at the hands of Massapequa. Farmingdale will make the playoffs where they have the potential to make a deep run.

https://www.maxpreps.com/ny/farmingdale/farmingdale-dalers/football/schedule

2. Massapequa

Coach: Kevin Shippos

Coach Shippos, led Chiefs to an 11-1 record in 2024. Key wins for Massapequa included William Floyd and Farmingdale in the playoffs. Syosset, East Meadow, and Uniondale. The one loss came in the opener against Oceanside, which was revenged later in the season. Key loses for Massapequa include RB Tyler Villalta, OL AJ Molenko, and QB Joey Diesso. The key returners for the Chiefs include ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1742413' first='Andrew' last='Pedalino'], and EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='1624609' first='Tristan' last='Tarasi']. Eight games are listed on the schedule and I predict an 8-0 regular season, with key wins over Oceanside, Syosset, Farmingdale, and Port Washington. A deep playoff run will happen for Massapequa with the limitations yet to be seen for the Chiefs in 2025.

https://www.maxpreps.com/ny/massapequa/massapequa-chiefs/football/schedule

1. Garden City

Coach: Dave Ettinger

Coach Ettinger led the Trojans to a perfect 12-0 record in 2024. Key wins for Garden City included Sayville in the championship game, and Manhasset, Hewlett, Floral Park, and Elmont Memorial. The closest win came against Sayville with a 31-28 win with the second closest game having a difference of fifteen points with a 29-14 score. Key loses include RB Michael Berkley, and ATH Blake Cascadden. Key returners for the 2026 season are OL [player_tooltip player_id='1344705' first='Zach' last='Olson'], 2027 RB [player_tooltip player_id='1814210' first='Anthony' last='Asaro'], and 2027 QB [player_tooltip player_id='1814212' first='Brayden' last='Robertiello']. Eight games are listed on the Garden City schedule and I predict another perfect season for Garden City with a potential deep playoff run. Key wins include Mepham, Long Beach, Calhoun, and East Meadow.

https://www.maxpreps.com/ny/garden-city/garden-city-trojans/football/schedule
