Expert Analysis
Jared Valluzzi | Prep Redzone Scout
One of the most electrifying prospects on Long Island. Now that the lacrosse season is finished, if Kama attends camps, he will stick out. He had a monster season with Farmingdale—his rate for yards after contact might’ve been the best on the island. He ran all over the eventual Long Island champs, Massapequa, and a highly touted Oceanside team, putting up video game numbers with 5 and 7 touchdowns in those respective games. At 5’11” and now 195 pounds, Kama’s athleticism is joined by his strength, making him one of the more complete RB prospects on the island.

Kama’s entire athletic profile as a recruit is impressive. He was one of the best players on Long Island this past season and was a finalist for the Thorp Award (Best Player in Nassau County). He is also the Nassau County 190-lb Wrestling Champion. When you also get a look at the measurables and physically defined body type, there is a lot to like.
Kama’s best positional skill is his contact balance—his ability to stay not just off the ground but stay balanced and maintain all his explosiveness while absorbing contact is impressive. It ties a lot into his play strength, and although there is not a ton of tape showing it, he has the physical traits (Play Strength/Balance) to be reliable in pass pro.
Kama also does an excellent job of reading and utilizing his lead blocks; there are plenty of plays on tape where he follows a pulling lineman in space, he is patient and doesn’t outrun his blocks, but can effectively use the lead blocker to get leverage on defenders and find space.

Kama has a ton of traits that would make you really confident in his ability to translate to the next level at the RB position – at 5’11 195 he is at a great spot physically for a Junior RB, the type of back who can play at 215+ at the next level.
Kama does excellent in the weight room Bench: 335Max / 225×17 Squat:465 and was the Nassau County 190lb Champion in Wrestling. A tremendous athletic profile for an RB, but also a player who could also be a candidate to end up at LB in College.
