I hit the ground Week 1 to find some hidden talent for our outstanding scouts here at PRZN to breakdown. The game I saw live did not disappoint. North Murray and Dalton battled down to the final play and lite the scoreboard up with some record setting individual performances. The North Murray Mountaineers held on for a 49-42 win, stopping Dalton on a 4th and goal on the final play of the game.

Below are a few standouts from that game and a few other players around the Area whose Week 1 performances caught my eye. Follow Prep Redzone to see complete scouting reports on these players and many others from around the State.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090799' first='Hudson' last='Hulett'] QB/ATH ('26 North Murray)

Unbelievable performance by the 5'10 180 Senior QB. He totaled over 500 All purpose yards and accounted for 6 TDs, 5 rushing and 1 passing. Hulett carried the ball 28 times for 342 yards and 5 TDs, caught 2 passes for 78 yards, and was perfect on the night throwing the ball completing 2 of 2 for 72 yards and a score. Along with all that offensive production, he handled kick off return duties and added several tackles on defense while playing lockdown corner on Daltons top WR.

Austin Nation Center ('26 North Murray)

I will be the first to admit that OL aren't the ones that catch your attention of Friday night but that was not the case this week. The 6'6 is an imposing figure snapping the ball. He didn't make any mistakes and he gets off the ball quick. Its hard to put 49 points and 500 yards rushing on the board without some beef up front. If you are looking for a big body that can play center, make the trip to North Murray.

[player_tooltip player_id='1685081' first='Havyn' last='Searels'] WR ('28 Dalton)

The 6'5 Sophomore WR had a coming out party Friday night vs the Mountaineers. A long rangy kid with great hands who has the ability to turn on the jets and outrun the defense after the catch. He set the single game Catamount record for yards with receiving with 11 catches for 229 yards and scored 3 TDs. His performance has already caught the eye of scouts, receiving an offer from Georgia Tech within 24 hours of the conclusion of the game. Will be a highly sought after recruit over the next 3 years.

[player_tooltip player_id='969646' first='Caine' last='Woods'] QB ('28 Dalton)

Woods is no stranger to the Prep Redzone staff as we have been touting this fellas potential for over 2 years now. His performance at QB may have been over shadowed by his North Murray counterpart on Friday but it had to be one of the best QB performances in the State for Opening Week. The 6'2 Sophomore was an efficient 12 of 17 for 359 yards and tossed 6 TD passes. He added 67 yards on 10 carries and impressed me with his ability to scramble around under pressure. Prep Redzone already has him ranked as a Top 15 QB in the '28 Class and I expect his stock to keep climbing over the next 3 seasons.

Jaiden McDaniel ATH ('26 Temple)

If you are looking for a Diamond the Rough in the West Georgia Area, McDaniel is your guy. The 6'0 175 Senior had a 160 total yards and scored 4 TDs in a 69-40 win over McNair. A physical RB that has outstanding vision in traffic. He showed off his versatility by making a nice one handed catch over his shoulder for a TD. McDaniel was a All Region DB selection last Fall as well as a standout in the GACA Junior All Star Game. A potential POY candidate in Region 6A.

[player_tooltip player_id='1852176' first='Cooper' last='Bazarsky'] RB ('26 North Cobb Christian)

North Cobb Christian looks to have moved on from their pass heavy offense in 2024 and will relay more on a power run game in 2025. The 5'9 170 Senior RB had an outstanding opening week v Providence with 26 carries for 211 yards with 2 TDs in 3Qs of play on Friday. Great vision in traffic with the speed to get past the defense when he sees a hole. Physical kid. We look for Bazarsky to have breakout Senior season with the Eagles.

[player_tooltip player_id='1577345' first='Cody' last='Bryan'] WR ('26 Heritage)

The 5'10 Senior WR began where he left off in 2024. Bryan was one of the leading WR's in all classifications in 2024 and opened 2025 with 160 yards and 3 TDs in a win over Christian Heritage. A shifty, great route runner that is electric with the ball in his hands. A physical good with good hands that can make a grab in traffic. He picked up an offer from Sewanee this season after taking home Region POY honors last season and is still one of the best kept secrets in the far NW corner of the State.

[player_tooltip player_id='1698150' first='Jeremiah' last='Frost'] RB ('27 Ringgold)

The 5'11 205 Junior RB jumped on my radar last Fall during opening week after a great debut at Dade County. He didn't disappoint this year. A power RB with great patience and vision. He has that special ability to seem like he is walking waiting on a hole to open then explodes. At 205 he has the physical ability to run through blocks and punish defenders when they collide in the hole. He had limited carries on Thursday as Ringgold jumped out to a 31-0 halftime lead but he still managed 117 yards on 10 carries with 3 TDs, all coming in the 1st Half. Frost is a RB I'm big on and still think he is flying under the radar, but not for long.

Tucker Parson QB ('29 Rockmart)

I feel like a broken record mentioning Parson each week but he has earned it. He made his varsity debut Friday v arch Rival Cedartown throwing for 211 yards and 4 TDs in the 1st half, building a 53-7 lead. I've watch him the last 3 weeks through the Yellow Jackets 2 scrimmages and he gets more confident with every week. A natural at the position with a high ceiling.

[player_tooltip player_id='1610586' first='Nate' last='Davis'] RB/LB ('26 Rockmart)

The reigning Region POY still remains as one of the most underrecruited players in the Area. Throw your tape measurer away, this kid can play football. An absolute Bull at 200 pounds that is a punisher on both sides of the ball. Plays with a high motor and rarely leaves the field on Friday nights.
