Live Look: American Fork JV, Soph, FR teams

American Fork is likely a year away on the varsity side from competing for a State title, but their pipeline is loaded with talent, let's take a look at some of their talent on the rise.    Jake looked phenomenal in his debut. It was an effortless performance. He got to his second read with ease and showed off his fantastic arm talent. He layered his throws, took some velocity off when needed and led his receivers open on his throws. He threw for four touchdowns and it could have been more, but the game was out of reach. Jake is an elite talent and will be a national recruit and be widely coveted. His frame, pocket mobility and arm talent reminds me of Josh Allen.     Luna was a standout and he's a player that has a big frame and is strong at the catch point. He does well with contested catches and creating with the ball in his hands. He should suit up for JV and varsity this year.     Perry had some nice runs in the evening and showcased good vision and short area burst. He moves well laterally, has the contact balance to absorb initial contact and he has the speed to get to the edge and makes defenders miss in a phone booth. He's an exciting prospect that should make an impact on varsity next year with the traits he possess.     Litke was an impact player, he caught multiple touchdowns, threw for a touchdown and was wide open throughout the evening. He's a player that is good with the ball in his hands and creating chunk yards due to his vision and seeing moves two to three steps ahead of his competition. It was a great showing for him and he'll be a playmaker.     Whitford was sensational. He was the key targeted receiver and he is an exceptionally nuanced route runner who has good footwork and naturally created separation all day. He is twitched up and moves well laterally. I'd argue, if it wasn't for an offseason injury, he'd be on varsity this year. He's the second best receiver for American Fork, at any level. He'll be a D1 recruit and will garner Power-Four interest. Huge upside.     Holmstead was making plays on offense and special teams, he was everywhere. That motor and effort will get him reps and his footwork and hands will get him targets as a receiver. There's a lot to like when it comes to his future.     Fairbanks was a player that got open on the evening and he has good footwork, does a good job of creating early separation and showcasing his number to his signal caller, he made a couple of plays that caught the eye on the evening.    American Fork is likely a year away, but if they can keep their pipeline intact, they'll be State title contenders for the foreseeable future.
