A few of the newcomers from the latest Class of ‘28 rankings update were revealed yesterday. But, with over 30 newcomers that debuted in this update, there's still more prospects that need to be welcomed to the rankings.

This report will highlight five of the highest debuts. Some of these players may sound familiar, as they were first discovered earlier this year during our Watch List series. Here's an opportunity for folks to get refamiliarized with them, and to see where they landed in the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='1639961' first='Michael' last='Beck'] - Spring Hill, 5'10”, 160, DB

Starting this group of five off first is the new top ranked defensive back in the class. Beck's freshman season really impressed me, and he's put in a lot of work this offseason to be even better as a sophomore. He debuted at No. 12 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1645153' first='Easton' last='Melton'] - Maize, 6'1”, 145, QB

Trailing not too far behind Beck is Melton of Maize High. The 6-foot-1 signal caller entered the rankings at No. 18 overall and is the 4th ranked quarterback in the class. Our staff has liked what we've seen from the young QB this offseason. He may have to wait his turn behind [player_tooltip player_id='1578939' first='Brayden' last='Myovela'] this season, but he definitely has potential and is a player to remember in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1810975' first='Jackson' last='Parker'] - Olathe North, 6'3”, 175, WR

Parker of Olathe North checked in as the 5th ranked wideout in the class and is the 27th ranked prospect overall. His athleticism could help earn him quite a bit of varsity action this fall. He's the type of player that can help get Olathe North back to their winning ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='1810985' first='Anthony' last='Berry'] - Mill Valley, 6'0”, 240, DL

Berry is another prospect primed for varsity action this season. Mill Valley typically has a rotation of talented defensive linemen and Berry has what it takes to join the mix. He's the new top ranked DL prospect and is ranked No. 32 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657257' first='Cole' last='Ranieri'] - Nemaha Central, 5'11”, 180, QB

Depending on how Nemaha Central utilizes [player_tooltip player_id='780500' first='Carter' last='Hajek'] this season, Ranieri is another young QB that'll likely have to wait his turn. But if the Thunder do opt to give Ranieri some playing time, he'll be more than ready for the opportunity. He entered the rankings at No. 35 overall and is the 5th ranked signal caller in the class.
