Much like Cashton Young Cashton Young 5'8" | 175 lbs | ATH Wichita County | 2026 State KS , the 6-foot-0, 215-pound Hajek plays quarterback but is known mostly as a bellcow ball carrier. He had one of the greatest career any Kansas high school football player has ever seen. Rivaling the likes of DeAngelo Evans and Bryce Brown.

Hajek rushed for 7,902 yards on a staggering 1,106 carries and 129 rushing touchdowns (132 total scores). He topped 100 yards rushing 33 times and surpassed 200 yards rushing 15 times in his illustrious career. He is ranked as a the third best rusher in Kansas state history.

This past fall he rushed for 2,638 yards on a whopping 326 carries and 41 touchdowns.

As a passer, he threw for 3,014 yards and an additional 37 passing touchdowns for a career. His senior season he threw for 830 yards on 55-90 passing and 12 more scores to go along with just four interceptions. He also passed for 1,143 yards as a junior.

Overall he rushed for 2,000+ yards on back-to-back seasons helping him be named the Sports in Kansas All-Classes Offensive Player of the Year, 2A Offensive Player of the Year and was named to the All-Classes Top 11 team.

Hajek has been accumulating Juco and D-II offers but could see higher level offers come in due time.

The prospect from Seneca has been featured multiple times on Prep Redzone Kansas. There is no reason to rehash all of his statistical achievements. (I did that last week.) No, let’s celebrate that he is certain to be one of the next Kansas small school athletes to achieve greatness on Saturdays. Who knows, maybe one day we will get to see him play on Sundays like we once did with John Riggins, Steve Grogan, and Jordy Nelson.

I have watched Nemaha Central compete in summer scrimmages, but never in a high school regular-season game. Seneca is almost an hour away, but seeing Hajek play is high on my wish list this fall. He is ranked No. 24 overall by Prep Redzone Kansas. Everything I have heard and read about Hajek makes him worth the price of admission. A home game in Seneca against Silver Lake during week two is on my short list of possible games.

One of he top uncommitted offensive weapons is Thunder speedster Hajek. He is ranked No. 9 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and has yet to verbally commit to a college program. He will be heading to camps at Harding University, the University of South Dakota, and Lindenwood University. Hajek has posted eye-bulging career stats of 5,000-plus yards rushing, 88 rushing touchdowns, and 115 total touchdowns.

Carter Hajek Carter Hajek 6'0" | 210 lbs | ATH Nemaha Central | 2026 State KS  , 5’11, 215, ATH, Nemaha Central, ’26. Everytime I get ready to write about this guy, it’s the same thing. Where do I even begin? Suffice it to say he is one of the most decorated players in recent memory. With 115 TD’s scored in three seasons and having already been named both Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year, he incredibly still has a season to go. With a resume like that he understands the criticality of off-season work. He is currently playing baseball and supplementing his football training by hitting the weights as well as speedwork and agilities since the first of the year. A couple of weeks ago he visited Washburn and then last week was on site at South Dakota. He also plans to visit Fort Hays State and Central Missouri in the near future. This guy is one of the few apex predators roaming the Sunflower state and is going to put on an encore performance this fall.
