It's already been a busy off-season and with the camp-combine circuit heating up it is only going to get busier as we come down the home stretch to the 2026 season.

For the guys striving to be elite, camps are only one small part of the overall off-season game plan. Most are also playing multiple sports, as well as working in the school's training program, coordinating with outside trainers, making school visits, etc, etc...you get the message.

Either get busy in the off-season or expect to get left behind this fall.

In this report we are taking a closer look at five guys from each of the returning classes who are poised and ready to have big seasons.

So without further adieu, let's take a closer look at what these guys have to offer:

[player_tooltip player_id='1926086' first='Chase' last='Jehle'], 6'5, 205, WR/ATH, Shawnee Mission East, ‘27, up first for the Monday Warriors is a guy I have been hearing good things about and is also coming off a strong junior season when he hauled in 30 passes for 437 yards and a score and averaged 15 yards a reception. With his prototype size, length and athleticism, he usually lines up split wide to take advantage of mismatches in the secondary. With sticky hands and an outstanding catch radius he can make the contested grab over the middle or when climbing the ladder for the ball. He is also fast and athletic enough to get quick separation and burn teams on the long ball. It's been a busy off-season playing hoops and running track, as well as training with Coach Damontez at No Limit Fitness twice a week. He has also just returned from a visit to Drake, with Lindenwood and North Dakota State coming up. This guy has next-level skills and is getting ready to rip it up this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2101915' first='Izrael' last='Telles'], 6'2, 180, QB, Salina South, '28, up next for the juniors-to-be is a gunslinger who started the season with little fanfare but by the end of the season was one of the top QB's in the state, completing 153 of 294 attempts, for 2,269 yards and 24 TD's. He also helped rally the Cougars for a big second-half surge, which included two upset victories in post-season play. With ideal size and athleticism he is a gifted pocket passer with clean mechanics and a smooth throwing motion and release. With his powerful arm he can make the third-level velocity passes but is particularly impressive throwing the long ball with a soft touch. He has kept busy in the off-season training with his teammates and is currently a 3B/SS for the baseball team. He also has a number of camps that he is interested in but to date has not finalized his list. After last season's impressive debut expect this baller to air it out once again this fall .

[player_tooltip player_id='2158573' first='Braigan' last='Dinkel'], 5'10, 170, QB/DB, Russell, '29, up first for the up-and-coming sophomores is another young-gun quarterback who caught my attention last year and then again this spring with his excellent play on both sides of the ball in 7v7 with the Kansas Colts. Last year he backed up an all-state QB, while picking up varsity experience in other positions and special teams. As a QB he is a dual-threat who throws an accurate ball on the timing routes but can also rifle the long ball. He is also athletic and elusive when extending plays or running the ball. Once the season was over he went right into wrestling, while continuing to lift and work on speed and agility and played well honing his skills this spring with the Colts. Additionally, he has been working with Quarterback Coach @coach_dawdy and has been training with Sharp Performance on Saturday's. This guy is just getting warmed up and should be ready for a breakout season this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1707575' first='Evan' last='Valencia'], 5'10, 175, RB/DB, Holcomb, '29, up next is another baller back coming off a solid freshman season and another athlete who played for the Kansas Colts in 7v7 on the 14u team but also bumped up to play with the 18u team on occasion. He is an athletic multi-positional player who pounds the rock running between the tackles and has the burst and acceleration to roast defenses on the perimeter. He is also dangerous catching the ball out of the backfield. With the high-octane Holcomb offense coming together like it has he is going to be a welcome addition. His off-season has been busy training, playing 7v7 as well as running the sprints and the 4x1 relay in track. And, with camp season upon us, he won't be slowing down, with aggressive plans to hit Kansas State, Kansas, Colorado, Texas Tech, and possibly Miami, North Dakota State, and Chadron State. This guy is primed and ready to deliver a big sophomore season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1662488' first='Dacen' last='Dedman'] , 5'8, 155, RB/DB, Halstead, '29, and last but certainly not least is a guy I have kept my eye on as a rising star and four-sport athlete who also plays basketball, baseball and runs track. He suffered an injury last year that wiped out a big chunk of his first year of varsity play, but has bounced back and is making up for lost time. He is a two-way baller who has the speed and elusiveness to be a dangerous running back or wide receiver on offense and is also expected to start this fall as a ballhawk safety in the secondary. With a reported 4.51 forty and a 36" vertical he has the elite athleticism that gets coaches and scout's attention in a hurry. He is currently in track running the 100m and 4x1 and also does the triple jump, and is an outfielder/first baseman for the baseball team. This off-season he is another one training with Sharp Performance on the weekends, working on explosiveness and quickness. This guy is ready to take off.

In conclusion, get out and see these talented players this fall - you won't be disappointed! Also, if you know of any players not getting any/enough coverage that they deserve, please feel free to DM me via X so we can take care of that!

And, most importantly...

Keep Grindin'

It's already been a busy off-season and with the camp-combine circuit heating up it is only going to get busier as we come down the home stretch to the 2026 season.
