A talented DB and the projected QB1 for the St. Anthony Huskies ahead of next season, Benz, showed up in shape and ready to work last week. He's an athletic kid with quick footwork and an arm I'm eager to see more of. I liked a lot of his work in the red zone throughout the evening, particularly with shorter routes across the middle. I'm curious to see how he does during his senior year as the Huskies' signal-caller, because Bentz could turn into a series two-way threat.

A 2028 QB I've covered before and who I have high hopes for, Schlaeger, was one of many promising St. Thomas QBs representing last Monday. His confidence and poise serve him well, and he tore up the quick-hitter routes that he threw. He also hit a perfectly placed seam route later on in the practice. Schleager's development is one I will be watching closely over the next couple of years. He's a high-character kid, and I'm pumped to watch his tape when it drops.

Vanvoorst has been on my radar for a while now, and his stock skyrocketed to me after how well he performed last Monday. His arm talent surprised me. He was able to drill deep shots with solid accuracy and ball placement, and he rarely underthrew routes. He was able to throw those deep balls without launching rainbows, and even put a few intermediate and deep routes on a rope. Healed from injury and ready to rock for his junior year, he looks to be a problem. I'll be at his Week 1 game this fall, and I can't wait to see how this practice translates to on-field play.

Another 2028 athlete with the potential for big things, Miles-Nuessmeier looked bigger and stronger than most of his contemporaries. Very few sophomores looked the part like he did, but he also backed it up with solid QB play throughout the practice. Once he found his rhythm, he hit a multitude of mid-level throws in a row, each well placed. He moved well, too, solidifying his potential as an overall athlete. Definitely a big school QB to keep an eye on going forward.

Jackson was my favorite 2029 QB I saw, and he caught the attention of a bunch of camp coaches as well. He's a smaller prospect, which makes sense given the fact that he's an incoming freshman, but his arm talent is bordering on the elite for his class. There wasn't a throw he couldn't hit throughout the night, and the only ball I saw him underthrow was a deep back-shoulder fade. The sky is the limit for Jackson, and I can't wait to see his prep tape when it drops later this fall.

A swaggy 2027 athlete who looked the best I've ever seen him slinging the rock, Schuett is someone whose stock I see rising significantly during his junior campaign. Some of his best throws came when he was off-platform and throwing in a somewhat awkward position. At his best, Schuett throws a tight spiral and can hit shrinking windows on either side of the field. He's a talented safety who could evolve into a two-way athlete for the Cardinals.

A dual-threat QB who will enter his second season starting for the 6A program, Centennial, Belinske-Strauss's arm was very impressive last Monday. He's been a rankings riser this offseason, and it's clear why: the kid can sling it. His showing was incredibly well-rounded and complete. Belinske-Strauss was able to hit all three levels of the field and drop dimes right into receivers' breadbaskets. His ball-placement and overall passing ability have improved greatly since last fall, and I can't wait to see what he can do during his final season as the Centennial gunslinger.
