Expert Analysis
Hayden Lindquist | Prep Redzone Scout
A talented DB and the projected QB1 for the St. Anthony Huskies ahead of next season, Benz, showed up in shape and ready to work last week. He’s an athletic kid with quick footwork and an arm I’m eager to see more of. I liked a lot of his work in the red zone throughout the evening, particularly with shorter routes across the middle. I’m curious to see how he does during his senior year as the Huskies’ signal-caller, because Bentz could turn into a series two-way threat.

Bentz comes out of his backpedal quickly. He can cover a lot of ground when breaking on routes and attacking the run. His tackling is a strength of his game. Bentz has the speed to play sideline to sideline and the willingness to make an open-field tackle. The Huskies’ defensive back can play outside corner and the deep safety. He is not just a good tackler. Bentz has the speed and ball skills to stay with receivers on deep routes and make plays on the ball.
