This August rankings update was focused more on getting players into the rankings before the start of the season than it was about moving players around, but we still had a few players jump up in the rankings.

Here, we're looking at a few of the offensive players who rose in the rankings. Here are our 2028 stock-risers.

Still ranked based more on his upside than production, Patterson is probably approaching his rankings ceiling until we see more game film. That being said, he proved once again this summer why he could be a nationally-ranked quarterback recruit. The big, strong-armed passer has improved his accuracy and colleges are starting to notice. It won't be long before he's tearing up defenses on Friday nights.

Johnson doesn't have much varsity experience, but there's a feeling within the Reidsville program that he's going to be really, really good. We at Prep Redzone want to be ready for that. So, while we typically don't rank quarterbacks until they have either a decent amount of varsity film or some offers. When we've broken that rule though, we've typically been successful and we see a lot of the same traits in Johnson that we have in other breakout quarterbacks. So, he moves from the watchlist into the rankings and we have an eye on him as a potential riser in our future midseason update as well.

The coaching staff at Providence Day has been nothing but truthful with us about their prospects, so when they say Pilon is a guy to watch, we believe it. Pilon caught just one pass on varsity last year, and we'd be lying if we said we expected huge numbers from him this year, given the depth of the receiver room. But, he's patiently waiting his turn and has the same athleticism and route-running ability that many of Providence Day's past receiver prospects have possessed.

Ramseur's evaluation is tricky, as he's a smaller, shiftier gadget guy who carves up the lower classifications. That being said, he's truly electric, with verifiable times that suggest that athleticism can translate to the next level. He's a guy we're monitoring closely, and his evaluation will likely change multiple times over the course of his career.

The 2028 offensive line class is stacked, and Hollifield is still making some noise within that context. He recently received an offer from East Carolina and as he continues to shape his body, Hollifield could find himself climbing higher in the rankings. From what we've heard, he's looked stronger in scrimmages and we're excited to see him play this season.
