Hollifield is finally starting to get some Power Four momentum on the recruiting trail. He’s an explosive athlete with plenty of room to grow. He already has excellent strength and leg drive, and shows everything you’d want to see from a top recruit. His film, metrics, and frame suggest he’ll end up as one of the top tackles in the state.
Tee has been one of the hottest recruits in North Carolina lately. A lot of schools are after Tee because of his size at 6’5, and the athletic profile at 240 + pounds. When I see Tee on film, the way he moves at that size is very impressive. He’s got future left tackle written all over him, in my opinion, on the college level. Officially, Tee lists himself as an athlete on his Twitter profile, but I think offensive line is his best future position. Since January, Tee has received offers from Wake Forest, Charlotte, Liberty, Louisville, Old Dominion, NC State, North Carolina, Cincinnati, Virginia Tech, and South Carolina. Wow!
Hollifield projects as a potential Power Four prospect as an offensive lineman, and he put together a stellar season for the 3A State Champions. Hollifield obviously needs to add weight, but has the length and a frame that suggests that won’t be any issue, and he has two years to get up to college playing weight. He’s nasty as a run blocker and has the athletic ability to get to the second and even third level. He’s balanced and calm as a pass protector, as well.
The 2028 offensive line class is stacked, and Hollifield is still making some noise within that context. He recently received an offer from East Carolina and as he continues to shape his body, Hollifield could find himself climbing higher in the rankings. From what we’ve heard, he’s looked stronger in scrimmages and we’re excited to see him play this season.
Hollifield has great upside thanks to his frame, but he’s already played well despite his lower weight. He’s an excellent basketball player and great rebounder, evidence of his unique athletic profile. He didn’t just play as a left tackle, but played well enough to earn all-conference honors and if he can add some more weight, he has the potential to play at the FBS level.
