Expert Analysis

When I saw Jabraylan as a freshman a couple of years ago at a 7-on-7 tournament, I knew he had the potential to be someone special. The size has always been there, but he’s developed well from a fundamentals standpoint, and that has started to translate on the field and on film as well. Jabraylan threw for over 1600 yards in a run-first offensive attack, and he added nearly 250 yards on the ground, showing his dual-threat ability. Jabraylan has four offers currently: Kent State, Toledo, Arkansas, and Gardner-Webb.

He showed efficiency and command of the offense all year, highlighted by a near-perfect outing where he went 10-of-11 for 226 yards and two touchdowns. Still ranked based more on his upside than production, Patterson is probably approaching his rankings ceiling until we see more game film. That being said, he proved once again this summer why he could be a nationally-ranked quarterback recruit. The big, strong-armed passer has improved his accuracy and colleges are starting to notice. It won’t be long before he’s tearing up defenses on Friday nights.

We moved Patterson up the rankings internally before he blew up on the recruiting trail and we probably didn’t put him high enough. He has elite size and has flashed high-level accuracy, especially when layering throws between levels of the defense. As he continues to work on his footwork, he will continue to advance and has the physical ability to become an elite prospect by the time he graduates.
