2027 Player Rankings Update: Evaluation Scouting Notes, Part VI

returns to the ball on quck game to field side, not boundary; adjusts to the ball; does not always his use hands to receive the pass; hips need to snap more at stem of route; does not throw many fakes in his route; used a lot in quick game and curls; seems a bit raw, but used in limited concepts; deff has speed you desire</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='498245' first='Jael' last='Hester'] 5'11" 145 DB Donovan Catholic</td><td>Safety, a little unsure of what he sees in front of him when single high, must read quarterbacks eyes better; flies to fill alley, a bit too much movement in terms of flipping hims, inefficient iwth his movements but does so with ease; solid contact when tackling, must wrap better; goes low must keep head up; was a wing back on offense; needs to identify himself sooner on tape; hard runner, will switch ball to otuside hand; lacks true break away speed; can get beat to his sideline when the LB to that side, takes poor angle and has to grab; good lead blocker, finds the hole and finds work; want to see more pop to second level defenders when he has a running start; moves feet well; wins with head leverage, seals correctly; works to refit hands inside and tight; verey apt at high pointing the ball and using his hands to do so; will use shoulder fake and lean into opponent to create separation on posts; shows he knows to snap hips, his speed is a bit difficult to judge; not really aggressieve or physical off the line; more successful with matchups wthat play with poor pad level so he can work up into them; understands angles and positioning - uses this to seal</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1692681' first='James' last='Jackson'] 6'5" 206 TE Millville</td><td>Decent bend, looks a bit hesitant, indecisive when blocking; has strength to totally level an offensive lineman, even without coming out of his hips; has a good get off want to see him widen out and use his strides more; must step when blocking and work into his opponent, sort of pops up now; strong up top, can winwiht strength</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1544965' first='Jamir' last='Howell'] 5'10" QB Irvington</td><td>Looks down primary target, seems to have his mind on scrambling and running; can take it right up the sideline and burn everyone; has some wiggle, can make people miss near the line of scrimmage before riping off a big gain; trusts his speed, will relinquish ground to gain a better angle; ball is not pinned to his body; seems to bounce things rather than run inside out; no pass plays within first 2 minutes of film; maybe he is a college RB or on defense</td></tr><tr><td>[player_tooltip player_id='1425643' first='Jason' last='Whittaker'] 6'1" 160 QB/DB Asbury Park</td><td>Does not need a 21 minute highlight tape; recongizes and fights reach well, maintains his gap; split a double team when pass rushing; can hit a club swim, doe snot get hips through; can stack his OL matchup after slanting and play flat down the line; must break down to tackle more; uses his flipper with oncoming lineman not hands to disengage; tight end type, does not seal with his head; a bit slippery, can wiggle between gaps and make plays; either wraps or holds on a lot of the time when tackling; extremely physical, hits hard and heasy; want to see him get lower and lead with shoulder when doing so; a safety type; execellent run stopper; fights to keep arm free when engaged with a blocker to make tackle; want to see more burst when pursuing flat down the line on play away from him; gets hands on the man in front of him, seen a rip and an arm over; feet move well upon contact; hands on down blocks and squeezes, a bit in consistent;
