There is still a lot yet to be determined when referencing the 2027 class and some of the athletes who will continue and climb the charts. Looking at #51-100 there are numerous individuals who could make a nice jump up the board after the year ahead.

On the line [player_tooltip player_id='1591706' first='Preston' last='Powell'] of Westview and [player_tooltip player_id='1593163' first='Ben' last='Goalen'] of Summit are two 6-4 big men with a chance to play a high level of collegiate ball. [player_tooltip player_id='1358887' first='Scottland' last='Telesa'] of Aloha is an all-conference returner on the defensive front who could be one of the top players at the 5A level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1593708' first='Joe' last='Mendazona'] is projected to be a high round MLB draft choice and a 1st or 2nd team all-state TE for a rising Central program. RB [player_tooltip player_id='1591745' first='Ryder' last='Carpenter'] of Mountain View is another elite baseball prospect who earned 2nd team all-conference honors as a sophomore.

A few skill kids who put up legit numbers last season include [player_tooltip player_id='937297' first='Gracyn' last='Fitch'] of Sandy, [player_tooltip player_id='1591584' first='Xander' last='Kekaualua'] of Westview, and RB [player_tooltip player_id='1591586' first='Luke' last='Ortner'] of Jesuit. Fitch might be underrated here scoring 7 TDs offensively with 52 tackles, 9 TfL's, and 10 sacks defensively. Kekaualua and Ortner both earned 2nd team all-Metro honors as sophomore's and should be two of the most talked about athletes in the conference this season.

QBs to watch in 2025 include [player_tooltip player_id='937232' first='Kellen' last='Bowman'] of South Salem, another baseball standout. [player_tooltip player_id='936850' first='Hank' last='Whitworth'] of Westview is another dual threat quarterback who has talented athletes all around him. He could potentially have a breakout year. [player_tooltip player_id='1257695' first='Emmit' last='Distefano'] of Thurston looked the part and then some over the off season and makes a nice jump up the rankings board.

We continue to talk on Westview athletes with LB [player_tooltip player_id='1566150' first='Cohen' last='Trump'] back after a phenomenal sophomore campaign. It wouldn't surprise me to see him lead the state in tackles. 6-3 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1426821' first='Peyton' last='Daffern Schell'] of Milwaukie is another super talented overall athlete who could end up ranked in the top 20-30 statewide.

DB's to make note of include [player_tooltip player_id='937174' first='Houston' last='Lillard'] who makes the move to Tualatin and rising prospect [player_tooltip player_id='937116' first='Jackson' last='Morris'] of Tigard who is undersized but a lock down defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1569378' first='Cameron' last='Thomas'] of Sheldon is someone to be aware of, especially with multiple Irish athletes headed to Willamette. He was the conference pitcher of the year on the diamond and will be one of the state's best in the secondary as well.

Others to be aware of offensively include WR [player_tooltip player_id='937115' first='Jaxon' last='Lee'] of Tigard, [player_tooltip player_id='1125493' first='Reece' last='Ballew'] of Mountainside, and the very versatile [player_tooltip player_id='936972' first='Elijah' last='Greenan Biggs'] of Scappoose. The 6-3 Lee will need to step up in a brutally tough TRL with Ballew scoring 6TDs and earning 2nd team all-Metro accolades as a sophomore. Greenan Biggs went for 1100+ all-purpose yards and 8 TDs and will be one of the best at the 4A level.

In closing we look at a few other noteworthy athlete's worthy of recognition. QB [player_tooltip player_id='937233' first='Sloan' last='Baker'] could be the guy at West Linn leading the offense moving forward. It's obviously a big deal when you are directing the reigning state champs. 5-6 185-pound powerhouse RB [player_tooltip player_id='1550141' first='Conner' last='Harvey'] of Marist helped his team to the 4A state title last season as well.

Last but not least [player_tooltip player_id='1591742' first='Jamie' last='Buell Jr.'] of Roosevelt, who will be one of the best defenders in the PIL after an all-conference season last year. His film speaks for itself.
