Top 100 Offensive Players Class 2027 Scouting Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Today I am continuing my scouting evaluations on players ranked in the Top 100 in our <a href="https://prepredzone.com/virginia/rankings/2027-rankings/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>2027 Class Rankings</strong></a>. I have eight players evaluated in this article, three of which are receiving their first evaluations by our team at Prep Redzone Virginia. There is a lot to like in his game. He is poised in the pocket. He is comfortable going through his progressions to find the open receiver. With a very strong arm and quick release, he can make throws on all levels on the field. Good ability to extend the play with the athleticism to evade the rush and roll out to make a throw on the run with no drop-off in his accuracy on off-balanced throws. He is accurate on his throws and has room to develop his timing to lead receivers to a spot with anticipation. Already picking up multiple D1 offers, his recruitment is picking up. He displays very good speed, short-area quickness, and good change of direction. At Running Back, he has very good vision, and combined with his athleticism, he can create yards when blocking breaks down. He has very good burst through the hole and has the speed to remain untouched by linebackers. He has good contact balance with a very good finish on his carries. On defense, he can align in multiple places from his Safety position. He can operate in both Man and Zone coverage, defend the run, and is a dependable open-field tackler. We have him too low in our rankings. As a Running Back, he has good vision and patience to allow his blocks to develop before hitting the hole. He has good speed and good short-area quickness allowing him to navigate through traffic with solid contact balance. He can provide routes out of the backfield and in the Slot taking advantage of his speed in the open field. On defense, he aligns in Corner, Nickel, and safety positions. He shows he has the athleticism to play in Man, and is a willing tackler in the open field and run defense. Deylen is a large-frame WR standing at 6'02" and 205 lbs. He displays solid athleticism, with good balance and strength as a route runner. His size allows him to align as a WR, TE, and H-Back for Oakton, but I see him as a WR in college. He wins by a combination of footwork, route running, and size. He has the potential to develop the entire route tree into his game. His freshman tape has kept him in our rankings. He is a good athlete with very good short-area quickness and change of direction. He shows good strength and balance to secure the catch through contact and is good after the catch with elusiveness and strength. I like him best at the Running Back position. He displays solid speed with good burst and balance. He displays good vision and patience in the backfield and uses his burst to get to the second level. He has solid short-area quickness and good strength as a runner allowing him to gain positive yards through contact while lowering his shoulder. In our fall update, he will be in the Offensive Line rankings. As a sophomore, he was the varsity Right Tackle, and he has a good foundation for his game to develop. He has the strength and foot quickness that shows in his tape alongside a very good competitiveness that you see play out through the whistle. He has very good block sustain in both Run blocking and Pass Protection with good recovery and refit after initial contact. His anchor ability stands out versus the bull rush with good lower body strength to halt the rush. He has solid use of hands with flashes of very good reps when it comes to hand placement and explosiveness. I am intrigued to see his development on the field this fall. I like him best at running back, where he earned a <strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/05/przva-combine-series-top-running-back-performers/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Top Performer</a></strong> honor during our May Player Showcase. He is a strong, downhill runner, showing good burst and balance through the hole. He has solid speed with good short-area quickness. He often is able to break the first tackle and create yards after contact. He is a good competitor on the field with the will to dominate his opponent. I like his defense end tape as well, showing he can rush the passer and defend the run.
