Rounding Up Summer Pledges from Iowa’s ’26 Class

College and prep programs around the country are preparing for a new season quickly approaching. It's the best time for the high school student-athletes because they can play a game they love and aren't driving around the country in cramped cars bouncing from campus to campus. It's a privilege and the goal, but nothing beats popping pads with your childhood friends. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Many members of the 2026 Class will be embarking on senior seasons with college decisions already made. They can focus on football and preparing for the next level. The Valley defensive back took his time, took his visits and landed on the Cardinals ahead of fellow finalists Missouri and Minnesota. The Cyclones offered a scholarship, while the Hawkeyes did not. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Our No. 2 guy in '26, [player_tooltip player_id='1221928' first='Evan' last='Jacobson'], announced his commitment on Friday. The Waukee tight end chose Texas A&amp;M after cutting his impressive list of possibilities to the Aggies, Iowa State, Notre Dame, Missouri and Stanford. Iowa did not offer. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-The third-ranked player in Iowa, [player_tooltip player_id='1238512' first='Julian' last='Manson'], stayed home with the Hawkeyes. The Iowa City West standout and son of former Iowa quarterback and current staff member, Jason Manson, also reported offers from Minnesota, Kansas State and others.
